Fewell's football philosophy: "Play like hell and win"
Asked to explain his football philosophy, Fewell was concise: "Play like hell and win."
Fewell called the job an "opportunity of a lifetime," but he declined to talk about whether owner Ralph Wilson has indicated that the opportunity could extend beyond 2009.
As to the offense, Fewell plans no major changes. "We are who we are," he said.
Fewell also said that he'll name a starting quarterback for Sunday's game at Jacksonville on Wednesday.

Marv had his... "where would you rather be right now..." speech
Why not let Perry start early as HC with his… “Play like hell and win”?
I am in St. Louis and this looks a lot like the Rams last year when they fired Scott Linehan during mid-season and promoted Jim Haslett to be Interim HC for the rest of the season. Haslett won the first two games with the team because there was so much “effort” given, but then reality set in and the team lost the rest of the games (lack of talent at QB/OL/DL/etc.).
The Rams did a good thing by letting go a bunch of their disfunctional front office they had since the Martz and Superbowl years, and hired Billy Devanie to run the ship in the FO… they hired Steve Spagnolo and are going through year 1 all together. They are still bad and have a long way to go, but they have a much brighter future compared to where things were last year or for many years.
Hopefully the Bills will bring in a strong Football Minded Talent for making critical draft and FA acquisitions. Then he and a coach can it work going forward.
I’d be ok if the Bills only won 2 more games. I’d like to see what a new “football-guy” at GM, assuming we go out and get one, could do with a higher draft pick. Not necessarily who he’d pick up, but if he could pull a New England and parlay that pick into 2 or 3 high round picks over the next couple of years.
