Charlie Weis?
Just throwing the name out there, he hasn't had much success at Notre Dame but we all know his a NFL type guy and when he gets fired at ND I hope the front office takes a shot of trying to bring him in here in some capacity I would prefer as a OC....what do you guys think?? Also if we are looking to draft a QB in this years draft his very familiar with a guy his coaching at ND now or a possibility of bringing Brady Quinn to Buffalo

He could draft Clausen too.
Weis is a name that should be in the Coach pool, we’ll see what happens

just to clarify, I am not for Weis, but for whatever reason I could see it happen. OC would be best

I absolutely hate the idea of Charlie Weis as our HC. I’d rather hire unproven young assistant over a proven looser. Historically Belichick ex assistants have done very poorly in the pros (possible exception Josh McDaniels) as head coaches.

Whoops
Just remember Denver started 6-0 and has dropped their last 3 games (one against Washington). I mean even we started out 5-1 last year and look how that turned out.

All but two teams in the last 50 years have lost a game. Denver beat some good teams this year, including NE and Orton was looking great the other game till he went down and then Denver had no offense… Id kill for Denver’s record, coach, team, etc. right now

He’s not good with Clausen in college, why would he be any good in the NFL?

Have you guys seen Brady Quinn play?
I just don’t understand why his name keeps coming up. He is terrible.

I’m glad you said OC. Because as a head coach, I would pass on Weis a hundred times over. I don’t think he has that leadership personality. At Notre Dame, I don’t even think he’s done a good job with the Xs and Os, but I believe that is because his prepartion has suffered with all the head coaching and recruiting type stuff on his plate. I think he would make for an excellent offensive coordinator hire if Buffalo hired a HC who specializes on defense. Pairing Weis with the drafting of Clausen could really speed along the learning process. It’s swinging for the fences a bit because it could really go wrong, but I’d like to swing for the fences on a first round QB.
I have no clue what the appeal of Brady Quinn is. I guess we could do worse, especially considering that the list of vet options isn’t great, but he’s a last ditch, desperation trade option for me.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute

At this point Brandon knows what each available canadate is looking for.
His job would be to interview either professionally or through playing golf at Oak Hill on what each available canidate is looking for. Russ Brandon knows what each canidate is willing to do and what they can bring to the table. If Russ knows this then I am sure Ralph nows this as well. Ralph, if sincere in turning this franchise around, will bring Bill Cowher in and put him in the office right next to Russ. IMO he would be the only acceptable addition at this point. Ralph go get it done! Now!!!!!!!

I am not a fan. I’d be willing to bring him on as an OC I guess. I dunno.
