Bills need whole new direction!
With Jauron's firing, the Bills also need to find a General Manager who can draft better than what the organization has done for the past decade. To think, since 2000, only two of the Bills first round picks have made the Pro Bowl, and that was Nate Clements and Marshawn Lynch. They have had three offensive coordinator's in three years, which doesn't help contribute to Edwards growth as a Quarterback. They now have not made the playoffs since 1999, the longest period in Bills history. They are near last statistically in offense and defense.
Looking at this year's draft, history will show whether Bills should have drafted Orakpo, Oher, or Cushing instead of Maybin. Based on prior statement, I believe we will see those three in the Pro Bowl.
I also don't understand why Bills have players like Corto, etc., on the team, just so they can play special teams. That is why they lack no depth at key positions like linebacker, etc. If the special teams coach, Bobby April, had a say in roster decisions for special teams, I believe that was a very dumb move on Jauron's behalf.
Lastly, team needs to address offensive tackle and run-stuffing tackle in the offseason, get rid of T.O., and also draft a middle linebacker who can run. I think Poz is better suited for the outside.

The only positions we know the Bills need for sure are QB and LT
The other positions of need have to wait until we know what kind of system the new HC wants to run. I agree we need a run stuffer, but should he be a 4-3 or 3-4 guy? I am hoping for a change back to the 3-4. It might set us back a extra year, but who knows? We are starting from scratch. Let’s build this thing the right way.

Well, even if they go to a 3-4, they ought to snag some LB’s.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

But which ones?
Will Poz and Mitchell be the middle LBs in a 3-4? Will Maybin be moved to outside LB?

But they signed UDFA Jason Peters, too. That counts.

Bills need whole new direction!
And it looks like they’re gonna get it.
I totally agree that the Bills’ problem has been a lack of hits in the first couple rounds. They typcially find average players with the occasional Lee Evans thrown in. They lack impact talent. I’m not ready to lump Maybin in with former bad picks though. Do 21 year old rookie DEs really contribute right away? If people want to say that picking Maybin was a bad idea because he wasn’t going to be an instant impact guy, then that’s fine. That’s a valid argument. But it’s way, way too early to say he was a bad pick.
I’ve defended special teamers before and I’ll do it again right now. It’s not Jon Corto’s fault that Marcus Buggs sucks. Every team in the enitre league keeps players who only play special teams. There are no exceptions. Who was Buffalo supposed to keep instead of the special teamers who would have provided any depth? The problem with the depth is that it isn’t any good and not because the backups of the backups are special teamers.
The Bills don’t lack depth. When players get injured, they have guys ready to hop in and play. The problem is that those guys are really bad. It’s not like special teamers are being forced into action and failing. The primary backups are being forced into action and failing. They don’t lack depth, they do lack quality depth and that isn’t the result of keeping Jon Corto on the roster.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute
