We all understand our Oline issues..no need to harp on them.Lets give our Rookes and Vets a hand for doing their best..we're still learning!
Anyway down to the root of why im writting this...its time to say BYE to some faces and HELLO to others if this season ends on the other side of good...
First good bye would be to Dick..and i hope Trent Edwards packs his bags too....
Hello would come in for a New Head Coach QB GM and i dont know folks the O-Coor might see a change(i know we just got him...but Sir something isnt right either its YOU and THEM)
Speaking of Hellos/BYEs i started to think about those on IR and our PS...
(exclude the new talen we'll scout out in try-outs and the trades we'll make) who do u think will stay or go...or fall out of the league..or what team can u see scoping them up?
Current IR List

PUP List
Practice Squad

Of the IR and PS guys....
I’d imagine the ones returning would be:
Butler
McKelvin
Mitchell
Sargeant
Schouman
The PS guys would probably be Harris, Hennessey, Higgins, and maybe Waters….

First, it’s pretty unlikely that Edwards isn’t on this team come next September. It’ll be the last year of his contract, ge has a very low salary, little trade value and would make one of the better backups in the league. People will say that Buffalo is doing the same thing they did with Losman in keeping Edwards around, but I think it’s different given that a new coaching staff is like a fresh start for everybody.
If Jauron is fired then there is no way that the OC or DC keep their jobs. Typically, a handful of position coaches keep their jobs based on whether their coaching style and personality mesh with the new HC, how well regarded they are, how well their units have done (ie: the DB coach is more likely to keep his job then the LB coach because the DBs have done a better job than the LBs), whether the position coach fits the new scheme(s) the teams will run and maybe most importantly it’ll depend on who the new coach is most desperate to bring to Buffalo with him (ie: if the new coach is good friends with an OL coach that he wants to bring with him, it doesn’t matter how good the OL coach is here, because he’s a goner). April will probably stick around as long as Buffalo continues to pay him a big salary for an ST coach and continues to give him a bigger % of practice time than most ST guys get.
Hardy should be off the PUP any day now.
It’s tough to guess what will happen with the guys on IR because what scheme the new coach brings will determine everything. Butler just signed a new extension, so he seems like a lock. McKelvin isn’t going anywhere. Mitchell is versatile and not particularly expensive, so he seems safe. Everybody else on IR is more likely to be gone than come back, with Schouman probably being 50/50. Lydell Sargeant seems like a guy who is fairly likely to be brought into camp next year.
Practice squaders are impossible to predict. Some will come back as camp fodder, while other guys will end up in other training camps, probably as guys with no shot at making those teams either. If I had to guess one guy who could make this roster next year, it would be Anthony Waters. He’s a former 3rd round pick and has scheme versatility and Buffalo is desperate for LBs. Waters’ chances go through the roof (from 1% to like 5%) if the Bills hire a coach who transitions the team to a 3-4.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute

Waters
I really hope this team adds him to the active roster at some point this year. I liked him coming out of Clemson and still feel he could be a solid player in the NFL. Once another LB goes on the IR (it has to happen), Waters better be the add. I agree that he could be a solid player in a 3-4 ILB rotation.

well i know Edwards wont be gone in the middle of is contract and his trade value is -5..i mean if u had a NFL team would u waste a trade on him..NOPE i wouldnt.
I think however if the bills pick early(praying we dont cuz that means well u know what it means) we will go for QB..drafting more Rookie Oline men will get us no where but seeking Vet talent will help…
I think we should offere contract extension to TO..i know about the dropped passes..i watch the games BUT i think giving him a 3yr contract maybe can bring the team up to some new places
As far IR list..most of the guys on there..no i dont see coming back however i think 2 or 3 of them were recent add-ons prolly sought after for PS that were injuried during Pre-Season-they may rotate back on to PS unless some young cats come up and battle
Side note as far as the offense..um i dont think there’s a lack of coaching going on..or a lack of practice..if ur line is new these guys are still adjusting to the NFL mind set of those DlineMen…thats not something u can learn over a summer…and the QB has to be thinking not throwing the ball to Capser the Ghost Number 00

I wouldn’t miss McKelvin if he weren’t on the team in 2010. I’m having a hard time putting that kickoff return against the Pats in the past. Particularly since he said afterwards that he would run it out anyway if he had to do it all over again.
