Draft confusion (and a poem! :D)
I've been reading mock drafts of some people and I'm convinced most people have never seen a recent game of the Bills. Almost every single one has the Bills drafting a DT, WR or HB (what?)
I agree that another DT should probably be drafted to get depth in this oh-so-injury prone team, but not in the first round when QB and Tackle are such pressing (and more important IMO!) matters at hand.
Most people who have them drafting a WR say it's because of the fact that "THE TO EXPERIMENT HAS FAILED OHNOEZ". Not only is there starting to be a twinge in my mind that says... maybe TO will stick around in Buffalo another year (although I doubt it) but they seem to have no idea that Hardy and Johnson exist. Meh.
One guy had them drafting an HB. I have no idea why. Maybe he's one of those guys who believes that Marshawn Lynch is a bad back because his running style doesn't tend to work behind the worst line in football. All I know is if they draft an HB anywhere before round 5, I'm gonna be dissapointed.
Am I the only sane man in a sea of insanity or are these mock drafters mocking me?

OK, OK, not funny.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

And ytes, before you ask I am both tired and slightly inebriated.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.
must be a colorado thing...
..to write poetry while drunk.
but yeah i agree with your point about these mock drafts. I’ve seen a lot of WR too. wtf.
Do they know something we don’t know? if Stevie or J. Hardy are our up and coming receivers why are they never on the field?

I can tell you that in my mock draft, I had the Bills going with Russell Okung in Round 1, and Travis Lewis from Oklahoma (if he comes out) in Round 2. But if Okung is off the board and McCoy or Suh (both DTs) are still on the board in Round 1, I think the Bills have to grab them. They are two of the Top 4-5 players in the draft, regardless of the premium placed on QBs that often causes them to be drafted higher than they should be.
Besides, Stroud is older, and an injury risk. And no LBs should be taken in the Top 6 (where the Bills should be drafting?). Of course, I would not AT ALL be adverse to trading down to get another second.
BTW – I found your poem touching and reflected a post-modern sense of modernity.

Why thank you.
See, the problem I have with saying we should go DT/LB in the first two rounds is that this is a very defensive heavy draft. In the 3rd rounds there will still be LOADS of great LB’s and DT’s. However, there are at most 4 or 5 really good looking Tackles out there (And there’s more than just Okung! I have my sights set on Bryan Bulaga myself.) and maybe 5 or 6 QB’s that look like they have a chance in the NFL.
THOSE will all be gone by round 3. A ton of teams are going to work on OT this year and I’m willing to bet every QB above Tony Pike’s level will be gone by round 3 as well.
So it’s not that I don’t WANT them to draft those positions, it’s that I think the odds of them finding a guy at those ever important positions of LT and QB after round 2 are nil.

There should be a good DT or two in the 2nd round
I really want the Bills to target Suh in the first round but if that does not happen i will be fine with Okung. Im not really thrilled with any QB in this years draft, even if Locker and Clausen come out. The DT class is the best in years and if we dont get one in the 1st then i think
there are players that will be there in the 2nd round that can be just as good. Juniors Marvin Austin(UNC) and Brian Price(UCLA) are two players that can make an impact if they declare. I also think Terrance Cody will be there in the 2nd.
