We need to go LT
Drafting a QB with our first round pick would be a disaster.
This year might be high on quantity but low on quality. Both Clausen and Locker have only turned it on this season, whilst Bradford is collecting too many injuries.
And a QB who is flat on his back is of no help to anyone. He needs an elite bodyguard, and Bell simply lacks the overall ability and talent to be that guy. It is all well and good to say sign a free agent but only McNeil can be considered elite, and in an uncapped year, we are likely to be outbid if he leaves San Diego
A LT, like Bruce Campbell or Bryan Bulaga, will go a long way to shoring up this offence, as I think Okung will go in the Top3. It will provide sufficient time for however we have behind center to show their abilities and it may even help Edwards rebuild their confidence. And in 2011 or 2012, we might be able to look into drafting a QB who grades higher than any of the guys this year; someone like Matt Bradley or better still, Andrew Luck.
Do not forget that before the Colts were drafting Manning, they drafted Tarik Glenn LT

No, it wouldn’t. We need a QB.
Drafting a QB in round one and not providing reinforcements for the O-Line in front of him? That would be a disaster.

that should be the plan.
if we get the right guys to build our team we won’t be drafting any lower than we will this year – which means our best opportunity to grab a QB is this year.
now if all the QBs are gone or the BPA doesn’t work then that’s different – but if one of the top 3 QBS is available – we’d be dumb to pass on t hem

How can drafting BPA not work? As much as I would love to draft Suh if he fell,
not drafting an LT or QB with the 1st pick would be irresponsible.
but if one of the top 3 QBS is available – we’d be dumb to pass on t hem
Ryan Leaf was drafted with the #2 overall pick.
I think Polian must have put a curse on the Bills when he left. Anyone know where we can get a live Buffalo to sacrifice on the 50 yards line? Or, maybe we should use a Dolphin ??? Preferably, Nick Buoniconti

that’s funny you said that because he was the first person I thought of after I reread my comment. I was like – Ryan Leaf!!!
but I think that’s where we are at. As long as the brass things he could be the guy we have to go that direction.
but either LT or QB seems logical – preferably QB with LT in early 2nd or trade up

I’d go the other way around. LT first and QB in the second. Theres a good chance that Pike might still be available in the the second.

I disagree, we need a franchise top 5 pick QB!
Plus, why are you mentioning Edwards???
It will provide sufficient time for however we have behind center to show their abilities and it may even help Edwards rebuild their confidence.
They are hard to play but not hard to beat.

This OT class is nowhere as good as last years and we will pay for it now. If we don’t get Okung i don’t see the Bills reaching for one in the top 10.

Detroit will take Okung. If all goes well, at least one of the three QBs will be available when we pick. We should take him and look for a LT in the 2nd rd. Remember, we have a high pick in Rd 2 as well.

Hopefully this is the highest we pcik in a long time!!!!
If we get the right leadership in, we should improve as soon as next year. I am not saying double digit wins, but I am saying a 4-6 win swing. I think Locker is the best of the group. I will say this, Bradford was the guy I really liked going into the year. I still would be very happy if we got him. I do have a question though. Why does everyone keep saying he is injury prone. I do not remember him being injured before this year. The reason for the second injury is because he came back to early. Anyone would be injured from taking that second hit.

He’s had two identical shoulder injuries in as many years. That’s Injury prone in my book.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

Bradford was not injured last year, as far as I know.

He had 2 injuries in the same year to the same shoulder
/because he came back too early. That is not injury prone, thgat is a competitor. He is not injury prone. Trent Edwards, now he is injury prone. Rob Johnson was injury prone. Brian Westbrook is injury prone. Sam Bradford was trying to get back in the lineup 2 weeks earlier. His fault in this whole situation is not letting his injury heal properly.

LT is a top priority
We should look at LT first LB second, Trade round 3 for Vet QB.
I think Bell will be a strong RT and Butler when healthy will be a solid back up. Kendall Simmons will be a nice addition. I think bringning him in now might ahve given him extra time to get healthy. He might tear it up and give us more depth interior next season.
If we get a strong LT in the draft I think that would be great. Someone that can come in and start from Day 1.
What worries me most now is the future for Eric Wood. That was a BAD break. He was our best hope for the future. I hope he heals well and can get back out there by training camp.
I think we need LB help almost just as bad as LT. We need a run stuffer. We need to get a proven player like we did with Kawika to give us debth. I like our starters, but once one went down we fell apart with out depth.
QB play is bad, but maybe we can make a trade for a proven vet. Derrick Anderson might be a possibility. He is big and has a strong arm. I would give up a 3rd round draft pick for him. What about signing jeff Gracia this offseason and dont write off Michael Vick? I think all of our other postitions have talent. We nee to solidify this line, bring in a stud head coach and get this team playing to its potential.

We have the QB
Here is what we need to do. We get the top Tackle on the bored in the first round. If we think we are reaching then we should try and move down a few spots. Now stay with me on this one. In the Second round we should take the best LB. I feel like those areas should be filled. I think with the acquisition of Brohm we have the QB we need. I live in Washington State and I have watched Locker a lot and yes he is good, but I don’t think top ten good.
