DEFENSE!!

OK, So I'm posting a lot tonight after not posting in a long time. Thank the holiday alcohol.

Bottom line, our defense is GREAT. The stat lines may not show it. And, our run defense is not what I what. But, we have the 6th best ranked defense against fantasy QBs, and a high scoring defense. We have forced so many more turnovers this year (Thank you Jarius Byrd my new favorite player). But, we lose so many games in the 4th quarter (5). They get tired. Blame our offense. They have more 3 and outs than anyone in the league (yes even more than the Raiders and Browns). When your defense plays 75 downs a game, I don't care how good you are, you're bound to allow points.

Fix the offense, and you'll fix the defense where we have some playmakers.

Side Note, Martz or Billick or Shananhan can do that. They all can do offense which we need. our defense will be fine.

Let's get a coach and make the playoffs.

A Persisting Problem That I'd Like to See Eliminated

Dude here’s an Idea, Instead of writting 3 short Fanposts and needlessly bumping down other good fanposts, just gather all you ideas in one post.

Ppl usually put a lot of effort into these (including you) and it kinda sucks when your posts bump down other good quality posts before we have the chance to read them. And I’m not just saying this for myself if thats what your think. Other good posts have been bumped because of this.

And this isn’t just me trying to dis you, this goes for everyone. Think of the effort that other ppl have put into their own posts before you post 3 Fanposts within an hour and a half.

As for your post

I entirely agree that with a better offense we will get a better deffense. Playing 75 to 100 snaps per game has its toll.

That being said, take out Jarius Byrd and our deffence is HORRIBLE this year. We’re not the worst run deffence in the league because our D in tired. Correct me if I’m wrong, but those 3 big runs that we alloud against the Jets all happend in the first 3 quarters. Our run deffence is the worst in the league simply because it’s the worst in the league. No excuses can be made.

I think that your guilty of a bit of homerism here, which is cool because we all suffer from it at one point or another.

At some point the defense has to get itself off the field

You can’t just blame the offense for not giving them a rest the whole game. All good teams go through patches where they might turn the ball over, or have a couple short drives back to back. Good teams have good defenses that get off the field on 3rd down. Too much finger pointing by fans at the offense. At some point, the defense has to help itself out and stop a team on 3rd down
