ok

Thanx Brian, I guess the eternal optinist in me wants to see Brohm start and turn into what were all looking for in a QB

Another non-franchise QB?

From practice squad QB who lost his backup position to a 7th round draft pick to Bills starting QB in just two weeks… hell, why not?

by twoeightnine on Nov 27, 2009 7:09 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, ppl think that just because we signed him and he was a second round draft pick for the Packers last year that makes him a candidate to start down the road for us.

They forget that Brohm is very young and will need A LOT of time to learn our playbook. AND that he is the deffinition of a flop pick. Theres a reason that the Packer released him after his rookie year.

He wont be starting for us until at least mid-season next year, if ever.

a flop?

Don’t you have to play to b a flop and in that sense the guy really wasn’t brought into start he was brought into b a solid backup, because let’s b honest the packers were doing away with Favre they knew Rodgers was the guy

Yeah but when your drafted in the second round and braught in to be a solid backup for the next 3 to five years and then lose you job to a seventh round pick the next year, your a flop.

I’m not saying that he can’t be developped into a good backup now. To the contrary, I hope that he does become a good bacup. But that doesn’t change the fact that he can currently be described as a flop.

i just find it difficult to label a player a flop when he has not taken very many snaps in “real” game situations…Because lets be honest some of the greatest players are written off and other teams see what they have, and i understand that he was demoted to the Practice Squad…but it is also known that Brohm was in McCarthy’s dog house …. The guy doesnt get taken in the second round because he doesnt have talent…. This isnt really an argument but more or less just an idea because we dont have a legit starter right now, all we have is a one QB who runs around and does a semi-decent job(dont wanna discredit Fitzzy because he isnt a bad guy or a horrible QB) second we have Trent who is just a shell of what he was last yr and the first two games of this year. Would it really hurt to see what some one else has, because we have seen what we already have.

Oh i don’t disagree that we should try to get him some playing time to see what he’s capable of. I just see a lot of ppl on here that seem to think that we signed him to be our next starter. Brohm isn’t a players that we should be pinning our hopes on. Thats all I’m saying.

o i agree with you completely he is not the answer atleast we dont believe he is right now but no reason not to see him start a little bit becuz we know what we have

I wouldn’t even start him. Maybe give him the second half against the Pats and the Colts though.

James Hardy

Is James ever going to play for the Bills or is he just going to collect his money till his contract runs out and take his unused talents? to another team and become a star?

The world wonders............

. ………..cause TO is not gonna be back next year Give our 2nd round pick some catches.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he does come back next year actually. Especially if we hire a guy like Shanny at HC. I bet you that TO would love a chance to be in the kind of offensive scheme that a coach like Shannahan would bring in. Plus he hasn’t turned on us in any way (yet…) but more importantly, the fans still haven’t turned on him yet. I mean sure we’re not overly pleased with his lack of production, but we’re not entirely blaming it on him either. I for one would love to see him back next year.
