What a huge life saving pick up he would be if he plays well enough to stick as a part of this offensive line. I’m resigning myself to accept that Eric Wood won’t be ready for 2010. Like Hardy this year. If Simmons can play he can stay at guard, Hang at center, and then when Wood returns we could leave Simmons at guard and move Wood inside. One can only hope.

There’s a big difference between a knee injury and broken bones. Bones almost always heal back to normal. Knees take longer to heal, and then more time to get back to full strength. Unless I hear a medical opinion that says otherwise I’d expect Wood to be back at full strength at training camp.

According to PFT, Haslett hasn’t been contacted by an NFL team… maybe he meant a broadcasting job, once Billick/Cowher/Gruden return to an NFL team?
They speculate he was contacted about players. Not about his future.
