Anyone know of any updates on Kevin Everett?

So Im sitting at work today thinking about the unfortunate situation regarding Len Bias (with ESPN's 30 for 30 story on "Without Bias" premiering tonight.)

Truly a sad and unfortunate story. I of course was too young to remember it as I was only 3 1/2 years old when it happened. It got me thinking about the devestating death of Angels Starting Pitcher Nick Adenhart in early April of this year....and the murder of QB Steve McNair.....which in turn reminded me of another tragic incident involving one of our very own Buffalo Bills - TE Kevin Everett.

Star-divide

Its truly one of the most horrible things a sportsfan has to endure, the loss of someone young with so much untapped potential.....most of us live and die with our sports teams (I know I do), luckily KE surived his tragedy and gets to lead on in his life.........however never to play in the NFL again and show us what he would have been capable of.

The purpose of this fanpost was to see if anyone around knows anywhere to find any updates on how KE is doing. I've looked online and cant really find anything.

Also I know its hard during the season to over look the struggles of the team, but its nothing compared to the struggles that KE will have for the rest of his life. We must remember that there are things in life more important than wins and losses and who the head coach or QB will be next week, next year, etc.

I hope with this fanpost everyone here can pause, reflect and share any info they have on one of our very own. Kevin Everett.

Thanks in advance for reading and any info you can provide.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

yeah it would be nice to hear an update on him. Still cant believe what happened.. I’ll never forget the silence at the game when that happened.

That was a really… “wow these guys are human” moment. And being there when we got our butts kicked by NE later that year was real awesome when he talked on the jumbotron.

Do this Bills have any tie with him anymore? I doubt it but never really knew for a fact. Even if they didnt it would be nice if they offered an update.

He is not affiliated with the team anymore. He is in Buffalo from time to time at speaking engagements.

Thats what i figured. Maybe no news is good news then and hes gradually getting better and better. Obviously not to what he was before the injury but to able to live a normal life. Which would be awesome considering what they said about him the few weeks after what happened.

I was at the game and followed the story closely. It went from never walking again to movement in two days. Truly remarkable.

Nothing is more recent than the Giants game a couple years ago where he walked around the complex. Then he was Oprah and at the Super Bowl in February of 08. Nothing in the last year.
