Good future draft pick to keep an eye on.
Not sure how many people on here follow the WAC, but there is a good young QB that plays for the Nevada Wolfpack. His name is Colin Kaepernick . I have had the ability to watch him play. He is a big, strong and mobile type of QB that would fit good in Buffalo i think. I also think we could get him in the 3rd or 4th round. Here are some of his stats:
Kaepernick's statistics to date in his 32-game career:
Rushing
Carries Yards Avg. TDs
366 2,528 6.9 32
Passing
Comp. Att. Yards Percentage TDs Ints
460 824 6,495 55.6 54 15
In 2006 (his 2009 numbers in parentheses), Kaepernick weighed 194 pounds (218), ran a 40 in 4.73 seconds (4.58), had a vertical jump of 26 inches (33), squatted 305 pounds (490), benched 190 (280) and had a 240-pound hang clean (360). In three years he improved his strength numbers by at least 50 percent. Not bad for a QB.
What doe you guys think.

He doesn’t seem like much of a passer, at least compared to other potential draft picks. He’s got accuracy issues, but you can’t deny the production overall. I’d like to see more of him, but Nevada games are hard to come by….

i hope to make the nevada fresno state game
ive watched a couple games. hes a good player, but he hasnt done much against stiffer competition. but he def wont go top rounds, so if the bills were to take a chance on a 4th or 5th round guy, i guess he would be it. love his size at 6’6 tho. but k is right, his accuracy is kind of a concern, and the fact he plays in a system that i think inflates those numbers.
p.s. whats with his new tatoos?!

Project QB
I take a shot at him 4th or later if we haven’t draft one by that point.

I would like to see a higher completion percentage.

I'd agree
With an offense that dominates the competition in his league, he’s going to have all of the other numbers, but shouldn’t his completion percentage be up? They throw a lot of low-risk high-percentage passes in that offense and he should be better. He’s an amazing athlete and a great college football player, but he’s not NFL material IMO. When Notre Dame’s defense makes you look bad, you’re not that good because their secondary makes every other QB they’ve played look good.

Dan LeFevour from Central MIchigan is listed at 6’3 238. When the season ends he will most likely have thrown for over 10,000 yards and have rushed for another 3000.

The best part of LeFevour
Is his intangibles. He is probably only second to Tebow in Leadership, and probablly second to none in Football intelligence. If you read up on this kid they say he never makes the same mistakes twice. Most of the time he gets in before even the coaches and leaves after them. Plays well in bad weather. Here is a link to his stat lines http://collegefootball.rivals.com/cviewplayer.asp?Player=58472
Considering he doesn’t have a lot of help around him, I definitely think this kid could be the real deal.

I like him as a project guy
He’s got the arm and he’s adding touch.

Kaepernik is an interesting prospect. He’s still got a long ways to go and will definitely be headed back to Nevada next season.
The biggest issue with Kaepernick is that he only has one speed which he throws at and that’s his fastball. He really lacks touch on shorter throws, hence his poor completion percentage. It’s also a unique offense which the crappy defenses that Nevada plays tend to be unprepared for and unable to match up with. If Tyler Thigpen can put up good numbers in Kansas City using the pistol, I’d imagine that Kaep’s stats are pretty inflated.
He is a ridiculous athlete with ideal height and a rocket arm. I couldn’t really predict what his draft range will be next year because he’s a guy who could climb pretty high or could be a late round flier if he doesn’t continue to improve.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute

Another potential person to watch
is Deandre McDaniel from Clemson, but forget I said this and erase him from your memory.
He is a . . . safety.

He was good vs the Hurricanes. Im not sure if he was the one leading his team in ints at the time but i remember them talking about it. Too bad we have no need for DB.
