Dungy says Vick could be headed to Buffalo - AFC East - ESPN

I would love Jaws as a GM!!
ok, maybe thats based on him being the second best football analyst after Chris Collinsworth. But he does seem passionate, he owns a team (doesnt he own an arena team or something?) and he Charlie Casserly and Chris Collinsworth are the only mainstream commentators I ever actually listen to when they talk.
To me, the sucker is the person who runs when there’s trouble, especially when this situation was so easily foreshadowed….

I too would love Jaws – hometown guy, quarterback analyst, knows the game, etc….why not? can’t get much worse than what weve got going on now.

Casserly would be the perfect person to turn this franchise around, but I’m not sure he wants to be a GM again. It certainly would be worth trying to get him. There is no one alive at the moment who is a better judge of NFL personnel (except maybe Ozzie Newsome).

He was a minority owner of the Philadelphia Soul (Arena Football league), and also the team president. But the league folded and the team didn’t migrate to the new “Arena Football 1” league.

Given the hoopla with the Vick rumors in training camp it’s not really a surprise that the Bills inquired about him.
Given what Vick has shown with the Eagles I’m not sure why you would want to bring him in to be your starting QB. The Eagles don’t trust him to do anything more than Wildcat plays, and he doesn’t even do those well. He was never a good throwing QB; he had a gun, but he never was particularly accurate or successful throwing the ball. His biggest strength as a QB was that he was a freakish athlete. Now he’s just a good athlete without strong QB skills. Please pass.
I also think it’s cute that people think it would cost $5.2 million to get him. There’s no way the Eagles are picking up that option, and what other teams are going to pay him starting QB money? I’d be shocked if there were any.

If the Bills traded for him they would pick up the option.

Which would just be foolish. He doesn’t have much value now, and carries a lot of baggage.
If he were a free agent tomorrow no one would be lining up to pay him $5MM.

What has he done to show he can be a GM? He had Bill friggin Polian in Indy. He wasn’t the GM in Tampa, either.
