Go Back to Parrish on Punts
I'll start by saying that Fred Jackson is my favorite Buffalo Bill and he is a good punt returner (as well as the best back on the team, but that's a different post). I just don't think he can score touchdowns on returns. Parrish has scored and will score again, either for the Bills or someone else. When you have an offense that can not score, then get a returner on the field who can. This team doesn't need consistent field position. It needs touchdowns!! And don't tell me about his game costing fumble. He's had more touchdowns then fumbles. Get him on the damn field, Jauron.

Hard to play Parrish
If he gets released this week or next to make room for Hardy.
OBD will want to see Hardy in game action and it appears they already made up their mind on what they have in Roscoe.

If he get cut ...
then fine. We need this time to develop Hardy, but I’ll bet anything they don’t put him on the field. That’s not their style to use this time to evaluate players.

Here’s a Quote from Ed Kilgore
posed that question “why aren’t you looking more for Jackson in the passing game?” to Fitzpatrick after the game, and his answer was that Fred was busy on special teams returning kicks
Fred has clearly been more productive than Lynch. Once Lynch came back Fred all but disappeared. Which I think is a true testament as to why this team fails – they go away from what can clearly be an advantage.
You want the team to go back to parrish on punts – we all want something. This coaching staff just doesn’t get it.
Move on MrFurious1 – it’s not worth your energy – when the only thing that will help are different coaches – and that won’t be until next season at the earliest.

A link, please? That would make sense, it explains fewer calls to Jackson…along with Lynch returning, and loosing TOP. Too bad if so…roster spots/playing time might be jumbled in the special teams taking from the offense cookie jar department…
Some great special teams this year, minus a fumbled punt, a fumbled kickoff return, and a failed fake punt , with game in hand. Hot and cold.

game costing fumble.
I love how you make the argument as if he’s only had one.
Parrish is toast.
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

If they cut him ...
he will be returning punts for someone else next week. But the Bills are so friggin’ good, they don’t need one of the best punt returners out there.

Well Jackson has been better than Roscoe this year…. so yeah I guess you’re right.

Mypoia...
He’s been screwing up lately because he’s trying too hard to give his team a spark. This is just another example of how the Bills (and Bills fans) give up on their top talent prematurely.
A couple of fumbles, no matter how costly, doesn’t change the fact that he’s one of the best ever. There’s no reason to think that he can’t get back to his old ways.

Yeah God forbid they give him 4+ years to show he is worth anything other than returning punts. Even if he does get back to his old ways, Fred Jackson is averaging 14.5 yards a return in his career. Parrish’s average is 13.1 and this year it’s down to 6.1. I think Jackson is clearly better this year.

Disinterested
That’s how Roscoe has played all season. He thinks he’s a No. 1 wide out and doesnt’ want to be in Buffalo any more. He’s like that girl you take out to dinner, then back to your place, but as soon as you get to your place, you realize she has no interest in being there doing anything with you. It’s awkward for a couple hours, she yawns, and says, “well, I have to be up early in the morning,” and leaves. That’s Roscoe, the Disinterested date. He doesn’t want anything to do with Buffalo anymore.

I want parrish to return punts too.
while freddy is reliable, he doesn’t have that “can take it to the house ability” on every play that parrish does. The bills coaching staff is too horrible to realize that they should start the leading punt returner in NFL history at the punt return posiition. It just makes too much sense for dick. Its too bad, Parrish is a talented player that will be lost after this year.

Parrish = 6.1 Yards per return this year
Jackson = 11.0 yards per return this year
They are so stupid to start the guy that’s playing better, right?

12 returns and an additional 3 fair catches for Parrish and 4 returns and 4 fair catches for Jackson.

Thanks kaisertown
So……wouldn’t it be fair to wait until Jackson gets to 12 returns before we decide if Jackson is a better return man?

yea well look at parrish over the HISTORY not just a couple games. You saying Jackson is better is irrational until Jackson has as many punt returns as parrish. Parrish is a game breaker and has won us many games from being back their. He is right, looking at his history and all that he is done, it is amazing how he doesn’t return punts.

Hahahahahaha, ok. How many games has Roscoe won for us? He helped us win maybe one (Jax 06)?
Jackson has a higher career average, I think that means something even if the sample size is much smaller.
And has Roscoe Parrish ever been a gamebreaker? One punt return TD a year isn’t really indicative of that….

No it’s not. It may be incomplete but it’s not irrational. If I am telling you who is the best punt returner in team history it’s Parrish. Duh. If you are asking who has been better this year it is equally a no brainer in Jackson’s favor. The biggest stat to consider is Roscoe’s three fumbles in five games. Fred Jackson has two fumbles in 8 games while getting considerably more touches than Roscoe. I will take the safer guy returning punts especially when his average this year (and by the way for someone using 8 games to try and prove Orakpo is better than Maybin you should really be on my side here) is much, much better.

I'd be in favor of Parrish returning to his ST role
if it meant getting Jackson re-involved in the offense. I’ll say it again that I hate when ST needs take players away from dominant roles on offense and defense.
