So Rochester isn't a local market in this situation
but is when the games at the Ralph don’t sell out? Shame on you NFL, shame on you.

Here’s what the NFL says. We can broadcast it in the Primary Market. That’s Buffalo. Since Rochester has different TV stations, Rochester is a secondary marekt and therefore not eligible to receive the game broadcast. My brother who lives fifteen miles west of me gets Buffalo and Rochester channels and therefore gets both feeds and will be able to see it. I won’t.

Seriously messed up. If Rochester is a secondary market (and furthermore what is Syracuse?!), then why are we subject to blackouts? If it weren’t for Rochester, the team would be in a lot rougher shape. I’m pretty upset with how they’re handling this situation.

From the televised in Toronto Story:
A source familiar with the situation in Toronto tells us there’s been very little excitement there about the game on Thursday.
Sounds just like last year. I wonder if the whole Toronto experiment isn’t the precursor to a move as some thought, but will instead kill any inclination to move the team there, since the team clearly hasn’t generated the response in Toronto they thought it would.

Not really surprising
Two middling teams that are rather boring to watch, with few star players, playing in front of fans that don’t seem to give a crap about the NFL at this point (or at least the teams that have been involved).

Nothing on the game last night? Brees and Co. made us just 3 games out of first place in the AFCE with 5 games left. If we beat NE then only 2 games out of first place with the tie breaker

It felt like Christmas early with the Patsies getting knocked around last night. That team is on the outs of dominance.

um
so Trey Wingo on NFL Primetime just said that “and now the Bills are back in the playoff hunt!”
isnt it odd how the national media doesnt think of us as contenders when we are 5-1 in 08 or 1-1 with a close loss to the Pats in week 2 this year but at 4-7 we’re contenders? I guess if we had beat the pats we are 5-6 and the Pats are 7-4, leaving us two out. But I think it funny he said that non chalantly.

I wouldn’t say they didn’t think of us as contenders at 5-1 last year, there was a TON of talk about the bills then stepping up in the division, etc.
Its just easy to forget when y ou take a nosedive from there like we did.

yea i guess you are right
good call setting me straight. Now that I think back, I guess we were in the top 5 of power rankings werent we?

we were. also, when we were 4-0, there was lots of talk about the bills and titans possibly being the first battle of unbeatens in the playoffs in bla bla years (don’t remember exactly.)
then we got squadooshed by the cards.

the pats would 6-5 if we beat them opening night

If the Bills win out they’ll be 9-7, 4-2 in the division (which will be as good or better than anybody else in the AFCE) but only a paltry 6-6 in the AFC. They would have to hope one, preferrably two of New England’s two other losses came against AFC East opponents.
There’s no way the Bills can make the wild card is there? Not with Baltimore, Tennessee, and Pittsburgh ahead of them in the standings. The Bills best shot is to win the division.
Why am I even rationalizing this?

Why would anyone want this particular team in the playoffs? Ralph’s bound to think the o-line if fine and say no changes are necessary!
I mean this to say that the Bills’ road to the playoffs would be paved by others’ misfortune, not their own successes.
