Buffalo Bills’ All-Decay Team : Buffalo Sports Daily
"Every franchise has its busts, but few can put together a complete lineup of failures who came with so much promise. These aren’t just any scrubs; they’re guys who, based on what was invested in them, were counted on to make the team respectable at least. " Can't say I agree with Willis McGahee on here.

WGR 550 SportsRadio - Jake Locker Could Have Been #1
"Sam Bradford is a mid-first round talent. I project Colt McCoy as a late first to early second round pick, with the likes of Tim Tebow, Dan LeFevour, Tony Pike and Sean Canfield in a glut just beyond him. Watch out for Arkansas's Ryan Mallet, however. He's a very raw talent and underclassmen, but has the skills to sneak in to the first round if he elects to leave early."

Yikes. I like Sal in general, but some days I just can’t handle him.

He's really negative
It’s almost like you have to have some mental fortitude prepared going into reading his articles so you don’t catch despair.

i don’t see how you can blame him. This team has been mired in mediocrity since 1994.

Ugh, I’m so tired of the Mallett talk. I am an Arkansas native (yes there are Bills fans down here) and have grown up following the Hogs.
Mallett is not ready. Pleeeease believe me. He’s got a rifle, but it’s missing a scope! It reminds me of Losman’s lack of control on his non-bomb throws. At this point his accuracy is enough to make a college team. In the NFL a 6’6" specimen of a QB is not a guaranteed success. I feel very strongly about this player. Very few players can declare as sophomore, especially at such a mental position as quarterback, and Mallett is not at all that type of QB. We have to wait a year and see him develop. If he declares, stay away Bills! Next year he may be ready, (it is Bobby Petrino coaching him) but not now! Beware!

And it's not because I want the guy for another year in Arkansas.
I love the Hogs more than anything but the Bills. It’s even more exciting for me to see Hogs do well in the NFL than it is for them to do well in Fayetteville. I miss Felix Jones, McFadden, and George Wilson but it’s a pride thing.
RM just needs another year for his own sake. It is decidedly too early.

I agree it’s too early for him, or for any college QB to declare. I will say that if he does declare and is there for the picking in round 2, I’d jump for joy if the Bills took him and began the project. In a perfect scenario (to me), They’d ultimately have Pennington, Brohm, and Mallet to work with.

A player leaving too early is not a good reason to avoid drafting someone. It just needs to be done with a clear notion that he’s not ready to see the field. I’d take Mallett in a heartbeat provided that he not see any field time until at least 2011.

But you know that’s not what would happen with this fanbase. At the first sign of inconsistency at the QB position we’ll be calling for Mallett “just to see what the rookie can do.” Look at everyone calling for Brohm now.

Yeah, but the fan base shouldn’t be a motivating factor in football decisions.

On paper, that makes sense. In practice, though, I don’t think NFL teams have tended to employ that strategy. I suppose I am thinking more about Mallett’s development than the Bills’ chances of getting him. I think the extra year in college, starting in the SEC, will develop him much more than a year in the NFL holding a clipboard.

Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. - Peter Gibbons

Nobody noticed that the caption said Long was called for interference when it was Byrd who was called? I was livid when that call was made.
