Losman signs with Oakland
In a move that says much, much more about JaMarcus Russell than anything else, Pro Football Talk reports that the Raiders have signed quarterback J.P. Losman to a one-year contract. I'm guessing that this really means that Losman has signed a three-game contract. Instead of having to worry about Losman lead the Colts' scrubs against the Bills in Week 17, we can sit back and watch the battle royale between Russell and Losman... to lead the Raiders into the ground. Well, Al Davis got the sort of big-armed QB he already had. I wonder if Losman can throw 66 yards from his knees...

WOW!
I thought for sure the Colts would sign him so Manning could sit the bench and watch Loserman destroy the remainder of their season. Guess not.
Russell VS. Loserman = Crapola

So you won’t be seeing him.

Just Plain Loseman
I guess one teams trash is another teams treasure. That just shows you how bad JaMarcus Russell is…sad day for Raider nation
What's the difference?
Is Russell vs. Losman any worse than Fitzpatrick vs. Edwards? I don’t see one lick of a difference.
Well Russell was a much higher draft pick therefore a much bigger bust, but you are right

All four QBs are bad players period. The point is mocking a desperate Oakland for taking a flyer on Losman because their cupboard is completely empty is sort of asinine after watching the two clowns we currently employ at QB all season long.

Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

I wouldn't be surprised...
…If he did well in Oakland. Not the best offense to step into, but he’s fresh off of a confidence building stint in the minors. Plus the bar is so low in Raiderland he shouldn’t have any trouble tripping over it. He was infuriating on the field when he was in Buffalo, but he was a stand-up guy off it.
Good for him. The Bills have been QB career killers for quite a number of years and it would be nice to see one rise from the ashes…in another division of course.

Haha
I hope he does well for his sake. We seem to ruin any QB that comes in here anyway. Who knows if these guys have the potential to be good. We saw good things from both Edwards and Losman and they both were run out of town. Hopefully we get a coach that knows QB’s and how to develop them.
My wish
Is that someday, somewhere, a Losman-led team goes head to head with an Edwards-led team. I don’t know at what level, or in what country this will happen, but I hope it does.

Wouldn’t it depend on how OAK and KC finish this year? The Browns are obviously going to finish last in the AFCN, but if OAK does too, which is a great possibility since they’re only one game ahead of KC right now, CLE and OAK would play next year, wouldn’t they?

does this mean Losman is going to get into a bunch of trouble outside a strip club or something?
or is that just the old raiders?

Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. - Peter Gibbons

As stated above, what do we really have? Fitz and Edwards? We shouldn’t be laughing.

Good luck JP
AAAAAAAAAAHAHHHAHHHAAHHAHAH
but, Russell was a quarterback taken high in the draft, number 1 pick, how could he have failed?
The past is fixed, the future is unknown, try dealing with the present!
I wish him the best as well
Part of me thinks JP was more a victim of the Bills’ lack of any offensive vision than any of his own individual failings. . .The same part that wants to believe that the FO can’t possibly have been such a poor judge of player talent over the last 15 years. Isn’t it just easier to blame the coaching carousel?
Agree 100%
Losman never got to play with a game plan taylored to his strengths and using his above average (even in the NFL) athletic abilities. Let him role out and pass on the run or just run it and he would do great, a la Doug Flutie.
JP
Now that the verdict is in does anyone really believe that Edwards is a better player than JPP As maddening as JP was at times at least he was exciting at times. Not only does Edwards suck he is completely unwatchable from a fans point of view. Edwards would be WAY too boring for the UFL.

wish him the best
did nothing but try to be a franchise QB while giving great effort in the community – didn’t work out – but he’s a good guy.
no one should blast him for that – he’s not a good QB – that’s it. but as far as I can tell a good person – which really is the only thing that matters
