Buffalo Bills vs New England Patriots: Open Game Thread

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills, Dec 20, 2009 1:00 PM EST

Buffalo Bills (5-8) vs New England Patriots (8-5)
Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 1:00 PM EST
Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY

Bills inactives: QB Brian Brohm (third QB), WR James Hardy, WR Steve Johnson, TE Joe Klopfenstein, OT Jamon Meredith, DE Chris Ellis, CB Ashton Youboty, CB Cary Harris

There isn't really a lot to say here, is there? The New England Patriots own the Buffalo Bills. It's that simple. They've rattled off 12 straight wins against us. That's hard to do, but the Patsies have made it look alarmingly easy.

Today at Ralph Wilson Stadium, the Bills get yet another chance to toss the proverbial monkey off of their back, as the Patriots - on a bit of a slide of their own - look to take another step towards yet another AFC East crown. These Pats are vulnerable, but they're also clearly still the more talented team. For the 5-8 Bills, this game is their Super Bowl. Win this game, and suddenly, the off-season outlook is looking a little brighter, even with an upcoming regime change in mind.

This is your open thread for the game. GO BILLS.

Pardon me for my nostalgia

but I remember when the roles were reversed. I used to look forward to playing the Pats because I knew it was a win. Talk about reversal of fortune.

Posted in another comment in a different article.....but worth stating again...

Last year the sunday following my daughters birth the Bills pulled out an improbable win against the Broncos…….(the only win in like the last 5 or 6 games I believe)

Well yesterday was her 1st b-day……

going for 2-0!!!!

Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too, I'd say in a given week I probably only do about fifteen minutes of real, actual, work. - Peter Gibbons

Oh, BTW I'm really sorry but

the Bills will probably lose today. They will be on AFN today and they NEVER win when on AFN. I haven’t seen the Bills win on TV in two years.

Hardy AND Johnson inactive again...

Sigh

So much for getting them reps this year. Who cares about TO, Evans and Reed at this point. Guess this happens when you have coaches and front office personnel who know they won’t be here next year.
