With Limited FA oppurtunities Trades could become a Possibility
Can Anyone think of trades that this team could make to better our team because it seems unlikely that the upcoming FA class will make a big impact on the roster next year but i could be wrong. I started to think about what kind of trades we could make and i came up with these players
Tra Thomas LT Jacksonville Jaguars age 35 He is a backup at this pont in his career and Eugene Monroe has played very well. Even with Eben Britton struggling on the right side he could become expendable and worth a look to improve our pass protection.
Thomas Howard LB Oakland Raiders age 26 He was recenlty moved form his position of WLB to SLB after Trevor Scott has taken over at the Will and with other players being more of a priority to resign he may become expendable he could play the SLB and he is very good in coverage.
Kirk Morrison LB Oakland Raiders age 27 He plays the MLB positiion but seem to be out of posiiton and may be better suited to play the SAM. I think Oakland will keep one or the other becasue of Richard Seymour's contract and they may draft a MLB so he could become available.
Derrick Johnson LB Kansas Citty Chiefs Age 27 He doesnt seem to fit in the new scheme very well and i think he may have played his last year as a Chief. He has had some ups and downs in his career but he could help our LB corp in the 2010.
thats all i got but i wanna know what other people think about these trades and who they think is worth tarding for in the offseason. To clarify i only think one of the tow raiders wil lbe available as they will sgn the other one but both their contarcts are up and they will be RFA. I think that if we traded for one of the LB's we could open up our draft options.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Isn't Seymour a FA?
I bet Jax cuts Thomas outright.
Why would Oakland trade Howard and/or Morrison?
I’d be happy if we could add Johnson for cheap. I think we would all be happy with that. He’ll be a RFA though, so he’s not particularly tradable…

he will be a RFA 2010 will be his sixth year of service in the NFL

I don't think this team has a lot of tradeable players, though
And I’d be disappointed to see them give up draft picks, since that’s what a rebuilding team needs most.
TRADES
HOW ABOUT TRADING FOR GLEN DORSEY FROM KC, THEY ARE CHANGING FROM THE 4-3 TO THE 3-4 AND HE DO NOT FIT
I have no idea whether is is a FA or not, but
Aaron Kampman would be an interesting guy to bring in. Being that he’s 30, and he doesn’t fit in Green Bay’s defensive scheme, we might be able to trade for him without having to give up too much.
(all this assuming we stay in a 4-3, and to a lesser extent assuming we keep out D-Line coach).
AK definitely seems like he’d be an upgrade over Kelsay at LDE. Even if Schobel stays with the team this would be a solid acquisition. Along with this, it probably wouldn’t hurt Maybin’s chances to develop as it seems he’s being groomed at RDE to take over for Schobel.
So then we have Schobel, Kelsay, and Kampmann as our top three DEs and they are all over 30?

Kampman at 30 is much better than Kelsay.
This gives us time to fill other holes first.

Are we winning the Super Bowl next year? Then why not bring in a young guy instead of an old guy?
