Ndamukong Suh anyone?
I confess to making some errors in my earlier post discussing this year'f first rounds picks, with good comments backing up my mistakes. Suppose I didn't do my homework.
But come on Bills fans, with the problems this team has stopping the run, wouldn't it be great if the Bills were able to draft Suh in the first round. I think he will probably be one of the first three picks off the board, but imagine Suh with Stroud and Kyle Williams. This would put so much pressure up the middle and on the offensive line, it would free up Schoebel and even my favorite rookie, Aaron Maybin, to finally get some sacks.
And in case people didn't notice, Suh had 4-1/2 sacks against Texas as a defensive tackle. He would make us Bills fans forget about drafting Ngata for Whitner.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

No.
We have other places on our team that really suck. Why try to upgrade a position we are already solid at. Really. Would you rather draft a defensive tackle that might only be a 2nd string relief player for 1 or 2 years or a QB that could potentially be our quarterback of the future or an LB that can combine with the D-line (which isnt completely horrible against the run) so our run D isnt freaking last in the league. Or an Offensive Lineman so that we can actually gain something when we rush the ball. Comparatively how much would drafting a DT in the first round compared to all these positions be better in the long run?
We would need a top 3 choice
Suh is NOT going to be on the board when we pick

No. He sucks.
I wouldn’t want one of the most dominant defensive players in college football history… you can say yes, yes, yes all you want but there’s no chance we’ll have the opportunity to draft him.
If he is not the number 1 pick in the draft........
someone should get fired.

Absolutely nobody should be averse to the idea of Suh in Buffalo. But we’re not bad enough record-wise to get him.

No.
He’s a great player, and will be a star. But how about we handle our most pressing needs (QB, LT) before we bump up one of our strong points (DT).
I’d love to see this kid in a Bills Jersey, I really would, but I’d rather see Okung, Locker or Claussen.

Our strong points?
The Bills are giving up 172 yards a game on the ground. Stroud’s not getting any younger and Williams can’t play every down. Suh would be a game changer for the D.
Yeah we may be giving up a lot of runs, but 90% of them are outside runs. Meaning that it’s not our DT’s fault. It’s our LB’s that can’t stop the run. Your identifying the right problem but blaming it on the wrong players.

I would love it if they could land Suh, who shouldn’t? That being said, the run defense isn’t the main reason this team is losing so many games. There’s no consistency on the OL and the QB situation is akin to watching practice-squad development.
Suh would be awesome, but I don’t think stopping the run better gets this team to a winning season. They’ve been pretty stout against scoring, until the stamina runs out. Who can blame them anymore? That offense seems to go into shutdown mode come the 4th quarter.
Suh and Mallet would make me happiest, but only if Mallet went in the 2nd round.

Yes, please.
The presence of mediocre to slightly above average starters in Stroud and Williams wouldn’t for a minute dissuade me from taking one of the better defensive linemen I’ve seen this decade…Buffalo needs difference makers at ANY position…unfortunately, I don’t see Cleveland, Detroit, and St. Louis stringing together three more wins each in December…
Let's suspend reality for a minute
and pretend Suh is there when we pick at 6-8. That would most likely mean there was a early run on QBs and LTs. Assuming the top 3 QBs and LTs are off the board, I can’t see how the Bills could pass on Suh. It would be a huge mistake. A team can never have to many play makers, especially on the D-line. Yes, I know we need a QB and a LT, but it would make no sense to reach for one of them when a can’t miss guy like Suh is sitting there gift wrapped.

In that situation you have no choice but to draft him. Unfortunatly there is a greater chance of the sun going supernova tomorrow morning then ther is of Suh dropping to us this draft.

Well, it would be a once in a lifetime event :-)

I have never seen...
one player dominate a game on the defensive line like he did in against Texas. He looked like one of those kids that hit puberty in forth grade playing pop warner football. Wow. He looked like a man amongst boys. I am going out on a limb and going to say he is bust proof.
