What would it be like...
I've been a Bills fan since birth. Aug 14th 1988. But lets start at when blogs and message boards started being popular. I think its pretty safe to say that since the popularity of those two things our Bills have been pretty damn bad. A few good games sprinkled in here and there but for the most part, bad.
The point of this is what would message boards be like if we were good? If we were winning? If we had playoff and Superbowl success? What would we talk about. I know its kind of a weird question but just by looking back at titles of previous stories on this site and all Bills related message boards, 99% of them are complaints about the team, players, management, ownership, losing records and who should be playing/coaching instead. What would we talk about... Would these sites be less popular?
In no way am I saying Im happy we've been bad so we can talk and bitch about the team on here... Because I think all of us would take a championship if it meant these sites didnt exsist. But seriously, what would we complain about... because as fans of Buffalo, we tend to complain alot (with good, justified reason).
I dont know, kind of bored and a weird thing to think about. But 10 days between games and another season down the drain gets my mind wandering a little bit.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Go look at a Steelers Blog or a Lakers blog for the answer.
They still complain, but mostly just smugly say WE GOOD HURHURHUR
Bills fan? In Colorado? It's more likely than you think.

Being a fan of zero successful teams (save Cuse BBall and a short period of Donovan McNabb led football success), I have no clue how those blogs would actually go. But complaining about minor things and bickering over which young backups will be good and which won’t while everybody does some “WE GOOD HURHURHUR”ing, seems very, very accurate. Rec’d for the HURHURHUR thing.
I signed up for Second Life about a year ago. Back then my life was so great that I literally wanted a second one. In my Second Life I was also a paper salesman and I was also named Dwight. Absolutely everything was the same. Except I could fly. - Dwight Schrute
I support my local Avalanche, so I’ve seen a couple of championships in my lifetime. However, Avs fans have always been more sarcastic pessimists than anything in my experience so even then I rarely get a chance to brag about it and never did because these blogs and whatnot weren’t around in 2001!
Plus they’re not all that great these days.

haha.
I know I wish we had that “problem” of saying what backups are better or whatnot. Instead we have to talk about every position and everything from starter to the last man on the depth chart. I just want a winner!!! :-( hahaha

People tend to focus on the negative no matter what. With that being said we focus more on the positive here at Rumblings than any other Bills source IMO. I can’t vouch for the fanposts, of course.

Your daily source for Buffalo Bills information.
Yeah im not trying to say this is a negative site or anything like that. Thats definately BBMB haha. Every thread is negative. Im just saying I wonder what we as Bills fans would talk about on here. Its just something none of us have expirienced as Bills fans. Of course Bills fans like other teams and sports but as a Bills then Sabres then dont really have any other favorite teams. Ive never had the privledge of seeing a message board where my team is a winner and I guess thats all. Just wondering what it would be like hahaha.

Been a Bills fan since birth too.
1994 I was born. I have never seen the bills do well. My first bills memory i can think of is the Music city miracle. Yet I still extremely love this team. My dad taught me well i guess.
Im a cardinals fan in baseball so I to have seen some championships
But the Cards Blog on here gets esoteric. So if we were succesful I suspect the blog would degernerate into inside meme’s and lolkatz.

I was lucky to get to watch Martin Brodeur when he played in Utica and became a Devils fan when he was called up. It was a great boost to my sports ego after watching the 4 Super Bowl losses to see the Devils win the Stanley Cup in 95. As for this blog if the Bills were perennial contenders we would still complain but about better things. There is always some one who can be singled out for their mistakes and we the fans will tear them apart for it. It’s our job to praise them when deserved and like for our Bills now criticize them when they fail to meet our expectations.

As a yankee fan
I can’t speak for blogs and posts on the internet, but I know that when I am with my friends we talk more about the players and who we like. Which ones would be cool to hang out with and stuff like that. As far as thinking about the team, it would have to be the future. What needs to be shored up in the OF, who is doing poorly in the bullpen etc.
Translate that to football, and your blogging about how cool it is to have Jon Corto on the team from orchard park. What gem we can find in the late rounds to solidify the offensive line? How can we lock up marshawn long term and still be able to pay other guys?
