All Quiet on the HC Hunt?
I am surprise that we are not hearing something each week that the Bills are doing on the Head Coaching search or what is the latest news or rumors on that front???
It makes me assume that Russ Brandon is either:
A) Happy with the meeting that he had with Mike Shanahan and they have to wait until the season’s over to make the formal offer and announcement?
B) has been turned down by so many potential coaches out there now that he wants to save the Bill franchise more headline foder each week by being turned down or delayed more and more.
C) he has done all the “A-List” inquiries he needs to do and doesn’t want to start with the “B-listers” (i.e. Martz, Billick, Haslett, etc.) until they have had their formal shot at the A-listers.
D) Has targeted a few “hot-coordinators” but can’t do anything to interview them until the season their season is over.
E) Is waiting to see what Fewell will do in the next few games before taking more action.
There are a lot of theories, but the quietness of the past 2 weeks have been a little unusual in my opinion. I would have thought an insider or media guru type would be reporting something week to week or tried to get Brandon to talk a little bit.
This organization needs to hit a “home run” with this decision.
Most likely....

I am/was holding out hopes for "A"

Would like to see more action being done on the
GM
Director of Recruiting
Pro Player or Player Personnel
Whatever title you want to give it, we need a better evaluator of talent for this whole thing too. Either the “A” list HC has it, or they better being doing both searches at the same time.
Still wonder why it is so quiet…
