Kelley Washington to Meet with Buffalo Next Week
Per PFT:
Agent Chad Speck has announced that receiver Kelley Washington
, formally of the Patriots, will meet with the Jets on Thursday morning.
Per the release, the Bills have asked to meet with Washington next week....
The guy had 1 reception for 3 yards in 2008 and none in 2007. He's "career year" was in 2004 with the Bengals, when he recorded 31 receptions.
Per Rotoworld:
Washington doesn't add anything as a wideout, but he could help New York's special teams coverage. He shouldn't cost much more than the minimum.
Nothing like warm bodies this time of year.

I would rather see Jenkins or heck even Hawthorne make the team over this guy. At least they have some upside and potential as a receiver.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

Actually...
The guy to look out for, if I’m going out on a limb, is Felton Huggins. Give me a hundred to one he is on the team at some point during the regular season….

You just doomed him my friend.

And so the scene plays out...
“Hey Felton” says the handsome lead actor by the name of mike kry…“Just wanted to introduce you to a friend of mine, Aaron Merz. Felton…Aaron. Aaron…Felton.”

Nice one
I am a secret fan of Huggins, mostly because of his name, but also because of what he showed in camp and pre-season.

If he becomes a good player, you KNOW he is going to get the Huggy Bear nickname
I told the witch doctor that I was in love with the Buffalo Bills, and instead of telling me to say "Oh eeh oh oh ah, ting tang walla walla wing bang" in order to make me feel better he told me to buy a gun and end it.

Consider this a sign that the apocalypse isn't imminent
Buffalo is sniffing around 2nd (or 3rd) tier free agents. All must be right with the world.

who and why
this is what I want though. No big names, just fill out with mediocre FA’s to fill roster spots and let’s attack through the draft. If you do anything big, go trade Jason peters

Call it insurance for Hardy or a potential camp injury, competition for Jenkins and everybody else or whatever you want, but the truth is that teams like to go into training camp with at least 10 WRs because they have to be eased into action due to hamstring tightness and stuff like that. Bringing in Washington on a super cheap contract sure beats bringing in a couple undrafted free agents who have zero chance to make the team. At least Washington would have some chance at making the team. I wouldn’t mind a move like this one bit.

At one point in my life, I actually thought Washington had the potential to be a stud WR. Phew…….thank God I didn’t make that bet.

Cool, we really need another ST’s only WR. You can’t have enough of those guys.
Why don’t we go after an actual WR and not one that is just listed as such???

Saving pennies to add a redundant ST player over adding a guy that can actually help our O? I’ll take the guy who may cost a bit more….

At this time of year does it matter hoe many of these guys we add?
We all know he won’t make the roster come cut down times.

camp body
with insider knowledge of the Patsies’ offense. Why not?

Not much insider information in March.
Do you think Belichick keeps everything exactly the same year in and year out? If they’re bringing him in to figure out the Pats at this point we’re already 0-2 on the season.
