Alex Marvez article: Achievement Metrics Seminar
Marvez has an interesting article today about an Achievement Metrics Seminar that was held at the Combine this week. I linked it because it mentions Marshawn Lynch as the "newest poster child for criminal behavior" and that he had a considerably higher risk of future arrests or suspensions than his peers.
Luckily for the Bills this type of data was not available for the teams during the 2007 draft. How likely was it to effect the Bills in making a determination on Lynch? I guess we'll never know.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Doesn’t this seem like a form of racial profiling to anyone else?

not to me…..
why do you think so?
Oh. Uh, will you hold my wallet for me while I take the test, please? There's a thousand dollars in there... or maybe there isn't. Know what I mean?
Ya know, I just reread the article and I must have gotten a different vibe the first time around. I definitely misjudged it. Yeah, I don’t think it’s racial profiling, though profiling can still be included. But there is nothing wrong with using past behavior as an indicator of future behavior. I still don’t know how they could conclude that there was a 26% chance of Lynch getting busted for drugs or alcohol, how did they base that on past behavior?

I think
what Marvez gave is a very high level overview of the achievement metric. there probably are a million different variables that go into the figures.
not racist AT ALL
simply a sentiment to how these kids grew up, were raised and what type of neighborhoods they came from. Look at Lynch and where he came from, YOU NEVER FORGET YOUR UPBRINGING. The Bills wish Lynch had. And they wish they could change his favorite color as well.
The time to deliver is now and if you fail to do so you will no doubt witness the consequences first hand.
Without really saying much, Brandon said tons:
Asked whether he was satisfied with Buffalo’s pre-draft scouting of Lynch, Brandon said, “He’s a tremendous young man. We certainly felt very good about him and do feel very good about him. We’ll see how this (gun) situation plays out and go from there.”

not much more he can say
he wouldn ’t come out and say we do no pre-draft interviewing and had no idea he was a bad egg.
I actually meant the last sentence: seeing how things play out. It’s open to interpretation…which isn’t always great for the player involved.

Just messin with you
I’m sure OBD is not happy with the recent turn of events and I would think that pursuing Fred Taylor may be a response to Lynch’s actions. not only to fill a spot if he is suspended but to provide a mentor and give him some guidance that he seems to be lacking.
The only sign that Taylor is more likely to sign with the Pats is him visiting there last. It never bodes well for the 1st team to interview.

Too funny
I just checked out the Bills online store and noticed in the sale section that 2008 team card packs are $4.20, with Lynch shown first.
