Ellison, Jackson, Wilson tendered - BuffaloBills.com
The Buffalo Bills have extended tender offers to the following restricted free agents: RB Fred Jackson, LB Keith Ellison and FS George Wilson.
In addition, QB Gibran Hamdan and CB Dustin Fox signed contract extensions. All five players will remain on Buffalo's active roster heading into 2009.
Several ERFAs were tendered as well, including QB Matt Baker, RB Bruce Hall, TE Derek Schouman, TE Jonathan Stupar, DE Copeland Bryan, LB Blake Costanzo and LS Ryan Neill.

Dang Bri, I was just about to put up a fan shot about that
Well, we know Ellison is back anyhow, which is not a bad thing, I think he is a really useful backup LBer.
Also, these guys got tenders too: Buffalo also extended tenders to seven other exclusive rights players. They were QB Matt Baker, DE Copeland Bryan, LB Blake Costanzo, RB Bruce Hall, long snapper Ryan Neill, TE Derek Schouman and TE Jonathan Stupar
If the Bills were a drug, I could only they were speed so I could lose some weight as well.
LOL yeah, I was getting there on the Exclusive guys…

Florence and Winborn also visited OBD
Fanshot up about it, article is here

Both interesting players. Winborn could be a good player if he could stay healthy.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
agreed, and with the above tenders and resignings, not really surprised
Winborn with Ellison to cover for his missed game or two is defintely an intriguing option

Winborn and Florence
I saw an awful lot of Winborn (I’m also a 49ers fan) and I can’t say I am happy that they brought him in for a look, he was always in the wrong spot at the wrong time in SF, maybe he has improved his game since he left, but I am not a fan. Florence makes much more sense, but is he really better than R. Corner? I don’t think so, he adds to the competition for Corner, Youboty and Fox, maybe, but why?

He is better than Corner is right now.
Florence would come in and be our nickel/dime guy like he was in SD.
Playing Eternal Optimist at Buffalo Rumblings since 2008.

There are a lot of guys available that are much better than Corner. I like Florence much more than Corner, and can help immediately. I still don’t think Corner is ready.

"I’m Kurupt with Buffalo Rumblings. I am worth hundreds!"
Corner isn’t ready, which would be the entire point of bringing in Florence (if we don’t resign Greer). Personally i’d rather have Greer, but that doesn’t seem likely anymore.

I’d consider Winborn. Florence I could do without. I actually think Youboty and Corner will be fine this year.
With Youboty’s injury history, McGee getting up there in age and Corner being a pretty tiny guy, I think you need a 5th CB who is capable of playing a decent amount. I hope they find a really cheap guy for the job though. If you can sign a player like Florence for like 1.5 mil per season, then I would be all for it.
Man good thing about living on the "right" coast (as opposed to the wrong one)
I’ll be up for the first few hours of FA……..although I doubt much is happening……(course I could say the same about the Bills for the last 10 years or so….ba da dum)
