Winborn (5’11" 230)
Tiny lil’ guy….or is it just me?
There is only one NFL football team that plays in New York state...and Canada?
True, but 117 tackles, 11 passes defensed and a 1/2 sack ain't horrible either
Especially since he was a career STer before that. He is 30 though, so I would expect OBD to tab a replacement in the draft if they feel he would be done in 3-4 years. Looks like a last contract situation, but he may not have much tire wear either, hard to say.
If the Bills were a drug, I could only they were speed so I could lose some weight as well.
Same old Bills.
Going for 2nd and 3rd rate players and expecting that to help them be successful. With the cap room they have they should be looking at players that can help now. Im not saying its a strong FA crop out there right now, but, come one. Winborn and Drayton. LOL
Dude, they brought them in today because they were cut by their former teams. They can’t bring in any of the good players yet because, well, free agency hasn’t started. No need to freak out.

This I understand, but.....
I have a veryyyyyyyyyyy strong feeling they arent going to make the moves needed. Gut feeling I guess. Wait, maybe that’s just a bit of gas…lol
If I’m wrong I admit I’m wrong, but, to be honest, they haven’t done the proper things over the last 3 years to help them, so, I am not going to get too excited over FA. If they make a splash it will be the first since they had us bamboozled a couple years ago when they made the signings of Dockery and Walker.
Let’s hope for the best AGAIN I guess.
They did make 2 good moves with releasing Dockery and Royal, so, I will give them credit there.

JUST REPORTED HOUSHMANZADEH and the BENGALS AGREED to an extension….damn…that’s the one guy I really felt if we got would be the guy to take us over the top….damn it

No need to fret, Marv. We weren’t going after him anyways.

well
it was a pipe dream…but now I have little hope for a big playmaker…coles? Devery Henderson? Kelly Washington? I mean, it’s slim pickens.

Prepare to be disappointed if you want a vet WR...
I just don’t see it happening.

Me neither
The only one I see as an real upgrade now would be Boldin who is only available by trade. Coles is no better than Reed, if at all. Its hard to gauge our players since the offense overall is below average n terms of prduction
The Bills CAN win every game
Coles is better than Reed....
but with that being said I don’t thikn they will sign Coles.

Sure
Looking at his stats he certainly produces, so I’m probably wrong. But he may be no better than Reed on the Bills, production wise. However, if we had Coles, Evans and Reed, it probably would be better, but would Coles cost 7mil a year, or more? And I don’t think he is worth that.
The Bills CAN win every game
Probably no one. :(

unreal
I don’t know how they see the current crop of guys as good enough. Just not enough productive guys there. I hope to God we get one of the top 5-6 pass catching TE’s in the draft. I would seriously be happy with any of the 6

Who out there is a game changer who would make a huge difference and be worth it $$ wise?
You can’t just bring in people, especially pricey WRs, unless you know that they’re going to be worth it. Hous would have been a game changer but he’s going to get paid. Coles is solid but he’s going to get paid well and isn’t going to put us over the top to .500.

No other sources are reporting that as done deal as of yet.
Only NFP is claiming that. SI, NFL.com, PFT, and ESPN are all mum so far on it.
If the Bills were a drug, I could only they were speed so I could lose some weight as well.
Per PFT, no word from TJs agent to him

His loss, I say.

Chris Brown's take on Winbon:
With recently released Denver LB Jamie Winborn visiting One Bills Drive Thursday, I was interested to see that when given the chance to start (due to Boss Bailey injury) he had a career year and led the Broncos in tackles (117) and he played on the strong side where the Bills have a hole.
Plagued by injuries with his original club (SF) his first few years in the league and relegated to special teams duty for three other clubs (Jax., TB, Den) the past few years, Jamie Winborn finally got his chance to play a lot this past season with the Broncos and did not disappoint.
Granted the Denver defense was poor last season, but don’t blame Winborn. The guy led the team in tackles, with 14 more than D.J. Williams, and pass breakups. I’m wondering if this guy just needed a second chance at a starting role.
I like that he’s a veteran that’s seen an awful lot. He’s affordable and showed he can be productive. I think he’s also stout enough (230 lbs) to handle work on the strong side. And if he proves not to be the answer for the starting role, he’s not a waste on your roster due to his history of special teams production and experience.
At worst he could be a special teams guy. At best he could be our starting SAM OLB. Why the heck not?
