Madison and Draughts

Might be worth looking into, if madison cost less the Greer, i’d cosider him, and if we fail to get a real FB that can do short down situations, Draughts might be the 3rd RB, short yardage back that we’ve been looking for.

??

The Giants resigning one of the worst QB’s in the league effects the Bills how? Carr is freakin’ terrible and I’m glad no one has suggested bringing him in as our #2. Thankfully, the Giants were dumb enough to do just that.

Madison could be an ok stop gap CB, but injuries and age have really been his downfall lately. A 1 or 2 yr deal heavy in incentives could work.

Droughns is done. We don’t need another short yardage back either. If we bring in a different 3rd RB, please bring one with some speed in!

Madison

Of corse Madison is just a stop gap, he’s only got one or two good years left in him, if that. But he would be much cheaper than greer at this stage in his career and would bring depth at that position and allow both McKelvin and Corner to devellop without have to over use them. A one or two year contract would be all it would take for him to support our young CB’s.

Plus don’t underestimate the mentorship facter he could bring to our secondary. Even if he’s lost a step (or 3) he has LOADS of experience that he could pass down to McKelvin and Corner, and thats why I like him.

As for Droughns, i just put it out there cause the needs list uncludes a 3rd RB. Personally I’d be much happier seeing that spot filled by a LaRon McClain type fullback that we would draft this year. *Caugh*Quinn Johnson Caugh Caugh*

Wouldn't be a bad idea.

He might have slowed down, but he’s still a good tackler. I like it.

Just throwing it out there.

I have no idea if it’s good or bad.

so let's repeat sucess.

Put in Sam in at free safety, keep Scott at strong safety and rotate Donte between the strong a week sides depending on the play and we now have and excellent secondary.

dont' say excellent yet boss

Any secondary with Bryan Scott in it doesn’t become excellent. He is an adequate starter at best. I like him but that’s all he is.

It’s even worse with Donte Whitner in it….

well it would be better than what we have now

and btw, i’m including the solid group of CB’s we have in our overall secondary when i say that

Sam Madison is about 5-10 and 180 pounds. He is way too small to move to safety. Troy Vincent was 6-1 and 200+ and an above average tackler which is what made his transition to safety so smooth. Madison is undersized and tackling is easily the weakest part of his game.

I never realized he was Jabari Greer sized. He sure looks bigger and plays a bit bigger than that…

He might have been bigger earlier in his career. A lot of those old guys shed weight (Schobel anyone?) to try and stay quick.
