Bills Entered Negotiations with Peters
From rotoworld.com, via the Buffalo News.![]()
<<The Bills have entered contract negotiations with LT Jason Peters.
Peters held out through training camp last year and had possibly the worst season of his career, but Buffalo still considers him a building>>
I'm sure we all already knew they were in negotiations, and I'm sure it will likely take months to get a deal, but good news none-the-less. Hopefully they don't break the bank.

I’m told that the team is NOT hosting a free agent today (Sunday) because they are busily working the phones of both CB Jabari Greer and OT Jason Peters. So this fits what I’m hearing. It’s all good news to me.

nice
trying to keep the Patriots jaws off of Greer I bet.
If we can finagle DE Brian Orakpo and C Alex Mack I will not complain about this team for a whole season. I promise.

You think the Pats want Greer?
That would be an interesting move for them. They can certainly afford to sign him what with Cassel off the books.

ya
rotoworld released a rumor report that the pats have been in contact with Greer over the weekend. That might explain Buffalo’s renewed efforts
I read an interesting theory on some site that said that the trading of Vrabel and Cassel smells of a move done to open the OLB spot and the money and the picks for the pats to trade for Julius Peppers who wants to play OLB in a 3-4. That would be devastating

A 1st and 2nd to Carolina might get it done….effectively making Peppers the Pats’ 1st round choice and them still getting to use the Chiefs’ 2nd round pick.

oh please dont say that!
just don’t say that, I can’t imagine having to face a d-line that has Saymore, Wilfork and Peppers on it, and then have to face them twice per year? I think my head would explode if the Pats pulled off that deal.

especially
if that D-line is forcing Trent to throw interceptions to Jabari Greer!!!!

Peppers won't play on the defensive line
I think he said he wants to be a rush LB.

Keep `em both
If Dan Snyder can spend a few of his millions, I don’t see why the Inner Circle can’t convince Ralphie to do the same.
We need to hang on to our best players, not develop them to the point where they look good in the free agent market, and then let them go like your eighteen-year-old who’s got his license, his first car and the acceptance letter from his favorite party school.

I got a laugh out of this
Quick Hits...Former Bills TE Robert Royal is visiting with the New York Jets…Detroit Lions QB Dan Orlovsky is in Houston visiting with the Texans….The Buccaneers have re-signed safety Will Allen to a 1-year, $1.83 million dollar contract.
Vikings free agent safety Darren Sharper has a visit scheduled with the Saints on Monday, and is expected to sign with the team soon after his arrival
.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

Wouldn’t some of the inner circle have to do time over that kind of theft?
by Ron From NM on Mar 1, 2009 4:41 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
fine with me
just means less ppl to screw up in the FO. go ahead, steal away!
