Bucs are showing strong interest in Crowell
If we want to get a decent LBer we gotta move soon, Crowell is getting sniffs now, and June and Winborn won't remain free for long.....
BUCS INTERESTED IN CROWELL

With veteran linebackers Derrick Brooks and Cato June jettisoned last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers need more guys to play the position.
According to Pewter Report, they might get started by kicking the tires on Angelo Crowell, who has spent his six-year career with the Bills.
The Bucs reportedly are interested in Crowell, but a visit has not been scheduled yet.
Crowell unexpectedly landed on injured reserve prior to the 2008 season after word broke that he needed knee surgery. It prevented him from making a strong showing in the hopes of cashing in.
Quincy Black, Geno Hayes, and Adam Hayward are expected to compete for playing time at the outside linebacker positions in Tampa; Crowell would give the group a veteran flavor.

Saying the Bills should court / pick up June seems silly to me. The Bucs let him go and are courting Crowell. Why wouldn’t the Bills see this as a sign Crowell’s better?

Well to your logic if the Bills signed June the Bucs shouldn't pursue Crowell.
It just depends on who signs whom first, right?

WE SHOULD RESIGN CROWELL!!!!
it would be dumb for us to go after june and not sign cro… i’ve felt all along that we should resign crowell, because we would be able to at an attractive price due to him being on IR all of last season, and it would fill a glaring need and we get a guy who is obviously familiar w/ our organization and scheme. We know what this guy is capable of and there is no one in free agency that we are going to sign that would do a better job than him!! this would allow us to focus on DL (de specifically), TE, and OL in the draft. to me it just makes no sense to go into the draft w/ an extra area of need rather than fill it w/ a guy who has been on our roster the last 6 years, and has produced, and may even have been the best player on our d during his time as a starter.

I think they would rather draft a guy than bring Crowell back...
He hasn’t even received an offer from the Bills. To quote Brian, the coaches aren’t “enamored” with him and are content to move on without him. I like Crowell too but it’s obvious he’s not goign to be back.
