What do we do at the draft?
The Bills have so many options @ the 11th overall pick it is scary that they could screw it up.
3 ideas are:
1 - trade with Detroit for their 20th overall and 2nd round pick - this would get us ahead of the patriots in the first and second round as well as still having another second round pick to get what we need to fill the needs we have. We could pick up the TE in the first round and then DE and LG in the second round.
2- trade with the Eagles - their 21st overall and 2nd round for our 11th overall. the Eagles could get their tackle they really need and we get more picks - win-win
3 - trade Jason Peters to the Eagles for their 21st overall and their 3rd round pick. This would be great. We could get a tackle with 11, TE or DE with the 21st, and then LB and LG and another DE with the 2nd and 3rd round picks
If the Bills stay pat the best scenario is
1 - Everette Brown
2 - Duke Robinson
3 - Chase Coffman
4 - Tony Fiammetta
That is what I have so far what do you think?

If you are saying we draft Fiammetta in the 4th round.....I think you have overvalued his draft stock.

You want a fullback in the 4th? Even though we would still need a SS, DT depth, a project DE, and OL depth?

His top 3 would be my ideal choice
not Fiammetta

Great mock but I still don’t think there would be a point of trading Peters than drafting a LT in the first round. Remember that the “inner circle” is in win now or be fired mode and they wont risk developing a LT over there own guy.

One HUGE point
$$$$$$$
If the team were to trade Peters and replace him with a 1st round draft pick, they would save themselves millions of dollars. Now whether that significantly impacts our offense remains to be seen, but there would be a lot more cash available in the future…..

I still think we need a FB and just our luck the best in this draft will be gone if we wait to the 5th round to take him. That is why I picked him in the 4th.

I got hammered by some people for taking Johnson in the 6th round.
The 4th is way to early to take a FB, IMO.

There are other FBs out there...
Quinn Johnson and Fiametta won’t both be gone by the 6th round.

FB is a 6/7 rd pick
Just not a demand position in the league so all the good ones, like Fiammetta will linger until last 2 rounds, if not become UDFAa

I agree with everyone else that the 4th is too early for a fullback and you probably can’t even consider one until the 5th. If Fiammetta is really that good, I could get on board with him in the fifth (I was advocating Buffalo take Schmitt with their 4th round comp pick last year), but would still probably prefer risk wating until the 6th. It really depends who the Bills have taken and who is still available. If you end up on the clock in the 5th or 6th round and there isn’t anyone you like all that much, then I don’t think that you are reaching if you are taking a FB who can make immediate contributions in the 5th round.
It’s to the point now where every mock that I see that has Buffalo taking a DE in the first round looks great and every mock where Buffalo goes TE or LB is OK at best. I’m too stuck in my own opinions right now to critique the early rounds of Bills mocks.

Draft
Totally disagree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If we stand pat at #11 and take Brown?? Our second round selection, if they decide to go OL would be a guy would could play two positions ontheline. Like C/G G/T.

I agree Bob
Unless we can get Alex Mack or Unger and have Hangartner at G. Also think round 4 is too early for FB. Undrafted FA, later rounds or FA would be a smarter way to go.

Eagles 21 and 3rd works best
This gives the Bills 5 picks in the first 3 rounds ( 11,21,42,75 and 85 ). So we have 5 picks to fill our top 5 needs (OT,TE,DE,OLB and G/C ) and here’s my idea.
11 – Michael Oher OT
21 – Bradon Pettigrew TE
42 – Marcus Freeman OLB
75 – Kraig Urbik OL
85 – Lawrence Sidbury Jr. DE
