Yahoo.com Mock Draft Rds 1-3
As I was bored at work today I came across Yahoo.com's most recent Mock Draft and to my suprise I'm actually pretty happy if it would go this way...
Rd 1: Robert Ayers, DE Tennessee
Rd 2: Duke Robinson, OL Oklahoma
Rd 3: Shawn Nelson, TE Southern Miss
I am still very torn between wanting a LB or a DE in the 1st round. I think Chris Ellis will contribute more in his 2nd year and we can probably get a player like Hunt out of Houston in a later round. I would absolutely love to see Ray Maualuga strap on a Bills helmet and we all know Ellison is not starting material for ANY team in the NFL...and I even mean for the Lions :-)

getting the duke in round 2 would be huge

I haven't seen a mock I hated more than this.
It fills needs but with players I don’t like at all. Ayers is OK but not really a borderline top ten pick.
Nelson has amazing hands but there is no way he makes it to the third round. Just not possible.

I have, but this is close.
"In 1930, the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, in an effort to alleviate the effects of the... Anyone? Anyone? ...the Great Depression, passed the... Anyone? Anyone? The tariff bill? The Hawley-Smoot Tariff Act? Which, anyone? Raised or lowered? ...raised tariffs, in an effort to collect more revenue for the federal government. Did it work? Anyone? Anyone know the effects? It did not work, and the United States sank deeper into the Great Depression. Today we have a similar debate over this. Anyone know what this is? Class? Anyone? Anyone? Anyone seen this before? The Laffer Curve. Anyone know what this says? It says that at this point on the revenue curve, you will get exactly the same amount of revenue as at this point. This is very controversial. Does anyone know what Vice President Bush called this in 1980? Anyone? Something-d-o-o economics. "Voodoo" economics." - Ben Stein

I’ll cry into my Chris Kelsay limited edition throw blanket if the Bills draft Robert Ayers at #11.

Yea, but the funny thing really is
they have the Bills picking Ayers and passing on Brown. Brown gets drafted by Denver. I was like whaaaaaaaat.
Are we drafting Dino's now?

Round 1: Zach Potter, DE, Nebraska
Round 2: Roy Miller, DT, Texas
Round 3: Ray Feinga, OG, BYU
Round 4: Cornelius Ingram, TE, Florida
Round 5: Phillip Hunt, DE, Houston
Round 6: Max Unger, C/OG, Oregon
Round 7: Clay Matthews, OLB, USC

I like Duke in the second, not much after that.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.
by sireric on Apr 2, 2009 6:14 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
not realistic
ayers is not worth a #11 pick
duke robinson in the 2nd is good
the previous post is correct: nelson will not make it to the 3rd round.
by fami1y_first on Apr 2, 2009 6:15 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Ayers is moving up boards and is a top 20 maybe 15 pick . Nelson is early second and the only TE not named Pettigrew I would be OK with .

If Ayers jumps into the second round, it could doom you in our bet.

My only worry is Nicks and the Giants hopefully will draft him .Your favorite draft guy has Duke slipping to the 3rd .

What we need to do?
Unless Brown or Okapo fall to us at 11 we have 3 options…….
1. draft the the best OLB available
or
2. draft Andre Smith to be our starting RG or LG
or
3. trade down and pick someone worthy of a late first round pick

or draft Pettigrew.
Not the best value but a distinct possibility.

It’s OK to not like Maybin, but he has to be an option too.
by kaisertown on Apr 2, 2009 10:39 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
i REALLY don't like Ayers at 11
But the other two picks are fine.
by CanadianBillsFan on Apr 2, 2009 8:02 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Agreed.
Ayers and Maybin scare me alot in the Number 11 spot. The Duke is a good pick-up…

Tyson Jackson at 11
Then take Clint Sintim at OLB in Rd 2.
We can get our G in Rd 3 at 75
3 new starters and we still have Rd 4 to take a TE who can get vertical

I love that quote far too much.
