National Football Post | Sources: Bills Shopping Simpson
From The National Football Post:
"Sources close to the National Football Post have informed us that the Buffalo Bills are looking to trade free safety Ko Simpson in what could be yet another move for the team prior to this weekend’s draft in New York.
On Friday, the Bills traded away Pro Bowl offensive tackle Jason Peters to Philadelphia in return for multiple draft picks and are reportedly shopping wide receiver Roscoe Parrish and defensive end Chris Kelsay as well."

Garage sales....
dq. Human roaches, feeding off one another’s garbage. I need a drink and a shower.
Simpson’s quotes (the TV series, not anything Ko ever said) aside, ‘garage sale’ is an apropos description. Ko Simpson is like the big honking TV you bought not long before flat screens became all the rage. No one is going to hand over much for either of them. Or both if they come as a package deal.

On one hand it’s nice to see the Bills exploring whether other teams want their players that they don’t after missing out on a Dockery trade because they didn’t explore it early enough in the offseason, but these latest players rumored on the block are lucky to bring back a 7th rounder.

haha what can we expect for him...
a jugs machine…who in their right mind would give up anything for him?
It gets to a point where these moves won’t really be worth what’d we’d get in return, regardless of how useful these players are.

This is somewhat comical. Kelsay and Simpson on the block. Is the FO really that delusional to expect to get anything for these guys???

Hey man
one great returner with nothing else to offer, a “high motor” DE whose motor is on the decline, and a million dollar making backup safety…I don’t even thinks its worth the 33rd pick in the draft, but to get the most for any of these players, you’d almost have to get rid of all of them in one package

Another recent higher level draft pick looking to get moved
because we couldn’t develop them right or they were just not the greatest picks… seems to me like these are picks that if they were better contributors, we might not have missed the playoffs for 10 years. Also, since we are moving away from these players, what is our strategy for building a team for the future. Meaning what kind of identity does this team want to have???

why are they so desperate for picks?
1. They may be planning to move up
2. They may be planning to deal for players (i.e. Scheffler, Waters)
3. They realize they have a ton of needs and need plenty of new bodies to compete.
4. All of the above

Stocking up
I think they’re trying to get as many picks as possible so they can make some jumps if needed. A sixth round pick can help when you’re around the fourth round.

I agree but even when your in the second more fourth and fifth rounds look good to teams that need depth or feel that need to add youth to a old roster

Well
none of these guys are worth anything. On Madden they’d all be worth letter “F’s.” I think they are set on Ellis, Denny, Schobel and Bryan and Rookie DE no matter what. I think Kelsay is released before 2009 season.
Simpson has had tight hips and no speed his whole career. Never made a play unless it was off deflection. No speed, can’t apply a big hit…why did he start again?

This is turning into perhaps the most topsy-turvey draft weeki I have encountered in my life as a Bills fan
What they hope to get for these guys outside of 6th and 7th round picks and maybe a 4th from a team like the Cowboys or Titans baffles me. I think they must feel that if they can get anything at all for them its better than just cutting them loose with no compensation at all.
If ANYONE takes Kelsay or Simpson off our hands, the Bills should include a complimentary basket of wings from the Anchor Bar as a thank you for taking them off our hands.
If the Bills were a drug, I could only hope they were like speed so I could lose some weight as well.

Guess they learned their lesson with Dockery, who has some trade value, albeit not much. They could have gotten something for him had they been more proactive earlier on. Glad they are doing it with the dead weight now. If they can’t get a deal done, they’ll draft replacements and send them on their merry way next week….

The comments section of this article makes me very upset… Being a Dan from the Buffalo region, iam ashamed that that guy has my name. He talks about the Bills not getting any results by not changing. I think this is a complete makeover. This team is finally getting looked by some one who is being objective not subjective. They are willing to say that they made mistakes by giving certain guys money. i.e. Dockery, Royal, Kelsay and Parish and “im worth Millions” Simpson.

OBD Braintrust
This is basically " Garbage In and Garbage Out". A cleansing of sorts, by bad past draft picks, poor coaching and basically a bad run organization. No method here ,Russ Brandon ?. OSB, needs a football man to run the organization. That said, it will not happen with Mr. Wilson as the owner.
