Former Bill Ross Tucker debunks notion of Philly "fleecing" the Bills
What I really like is that he scoffs at the notion that the Bills got robbed on the trade. "If you start with the assumption that the Bills took the best offer that was available to them, then a number of teams evidently had their head in the sand and missed out on an unbelievable opportunity."

I agree
I am very hesitant to assume that one team “fleeced” another team.
Basically, Buffalo decided that they were not going to pay Peters and looked to trade him. Whether you beleive they should have signed him or not is irrelevant, I am sure they contacted multiple teams and tried to pit the best offers from those teams against each other. Ultimately I think we should be “happy” with what we got.
I do fault OBD for not taking the 1st and 3rd this year (as has been speculated), I will always go for higher picks rather than more picks. I also beleive they should have resolved this situation sooner as to have been able to reload during the early portion of free agency. However, I can’t get too excited here, because if they had done that, they might not have received the compensation for Peters which they ultimately got as teams became more desperate near the draft.
This might be why they are trying to move Parrish, Kelsay, Simpson?

Yeah, I think the only thing about this whole situation that seems really unexpected or odd to me is that the Bills may have passed up a 1st and a 3rd. I definitely would have taken the higher round pick.
Maybe someday we'll hear something about that from OBD.

Supposedly if offered them flexibility? Not sure that makes an sense to me. It would be nice to have an explanation. The only thing I can think of is maybe we will find out, next year’s is conditional.
