McShay says Bills were 1st day WINNERS
Todd McShay has given the Bills the best grade of day one! He said we took the best edge pass rusher in the draft as well as 2 of the best interior lineman and one of the best zone coverage / ball skills corner.
Watching the draft I wanted to pull my hair as I watched Maualuga drop and dop and drop just wishing the Bills would pull the trigger. Obviously that didn't happen so I sure hope they grab a LB on day 2.
Overall, I think they did a great job. I have a feeling they may trade a few more late round picks to get back into the 3rd to pick up a TE or a LB. In my opinion those are the last 2 positions we need to try and find a starter. The rest of our draft picks should be taking the best player available and building depth.
Just as a long shot...I wouldn't mind seeing the BIlls taking WR Ramses Barden...6'-6" baby!!!

Getting back into the 3rd would cost more than everything Buffalo has left in the 2009 draft.

I was counting Parrish in the ‘everything Buffalo has left’ category. And Simpson and Kelsay.

We need back into the 3rd
I agree that we need to find a way back into the 3rd round. With 2 glaring holes at LB and TE we need to find a way to address them. Waiting to 121 won’t get it done. We can still get a solid player late in round 4, but not an impact player.
I think getting back into the 3rd will cost a player and a pick. Maybe Roscoe and 4th, or Kelsey and a 5th would get it done.
If we do get back into round 3, I like the Bills picking either Cook or Nelson to fill the void at TE.

We’ll package something and move up to grab someone – that’s my thought as well
The rest of you go get the goods on Stan. His mom grounded him once for setting something on fire. Let's find out what that something was and then lie and say it was a puppy.

I predict...
We fill the void at TE with a trade for Scheffler today. It will include Parrish.
I've been feeling Buffalo ill.

I think we should be able to get Scheffler with a 5th. Use are4th on a OLT or LB. there is a good lb who just got released who might be a good fit for the Bills

There is also nothing that says the Bills have to make a deal today for Scheffler. They can deal after he draft for for picks in next years draft.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

The time to deliver is now and if you fail to do so you will no doubt witness the consequences first hand.

Really?? First day winners??
Maybin is not a pick that I liked AT ALL! He is a boom or bust player that was drafted at 11 and has only had one good season in college. He doesn’t have the build to be an every down player and that is HORRIBLE for someone selected that high. I thought for sure that they were going to go with Orakpo.
I thought Cincy had a hell of a draft. They got Malaluga and Smith and a couple of very good, talented, kids.

I'll admit i really wanted maybin earlier, but when orakpo fell i thought he would be the pick and was a bit suprised we took maybin, but i am happy w/ the pick based on the fact that he's the so-called "best pass rusher in the draft"
and that’s what we need right now, i don’t know if any player we could’ve drafted including orakpo/ayers were going to be every down players especially not this year.. he needed to add to our pass rush and we did that by getting one the best one in the draft.. we have 3 de’s that can play the run great, and now we have that rotational guy who this year will come in and rush the passer for us.. so i love the pick.. we don’t need him to be an every down player, for another year or two.. and he is very young (just turning 21) and will fill out he’s got a large frame and has already put on good weight, and will continue to being on an nfl training schedule year round.. just think this kid was going to school and playing football, now his job is to play football he will be a beast for us.. mcshay says he will be a pro-bowler in the very soon future.. i think we added a great player to our defense that is going to give us what we need.. a pass rush!!

I did get the feeling over the last few months that you didn’t like him. Either way, he’s a Bill now, and the kid’s got a ton of potential, he absolutely wreaked havoc in school last year.
I liked Cincy’s draft too, but I feel like they got people with a lot of off-field question marks that could either work out perfectly, or blow up in their faces. I’m curious to see how they turn out. I honestly liked Detroit’s draft too.
Penn Staters belong at Penn State. The problem with a lot of kids is they just don’t know they are Penn Staters yet.
