Could this be our Starting O-Line?
LT-Levi Jones LG-Andy Levitre C-Eric Wood RG-Brad Butler RT-Langston Walker
It might explain a few things and looks like it would have a lot of potential and really solidify our O-Line while we continue the development Demetrius Bell. I think this option could be available to us in the very near future with the Bengals having drafted Tackle Andre Smith? I am not sure on Levi Jones health or overall situation, but I do know that he's been a very good Tackle in the past and should be more than servicable for at least the short term if Demetrius Bell's the long term answer once he's prepared.
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

Signing Jones seems very unlikely to me. And even if Buffalo did sign him, I think you would still be looking at Hangartner starting at center with Wood and Levitre battling it out for the other starting guard spot.
I’ll be honest that I’m a little worried about starting two rookie guards. I think Chambers winning a job there is more likely than people think. A lot of late first and 2nd round guards have really struggled as rookies in the last few years. Most of them end up being pretty good a couple years down the road, but it is often a big adjustment to the size, strength and speed of NFL defensive lineman.
Despite not drafting a single player who profiles as a LT, I think this draft showed that Buffalo is very unlikely to have interest in Jones. Why would you trade up and take a second offensive lineman (giving you one more than you need if you sign Jones) when they could have just waited a few rounds and still gotten a solid player. If the team was interested in Jones, I don’t think they would have taken two offensive lineman in the first two rounds.
I think we needed more depth either way and we needed to at least draft 2 Lineman and these are both very versatile guys who can fill multiple spots, I think this draft showed us that OBD has seen a lot of potential in Bell and while he might not be ready to start it seems likely to me that they view him as the future. Signing Levi Jones is just an idea that seems like it might be a possibilty if he becomes available but either way I was very happy with the Eric Wood pick and outside of Mack who I think they were targeting as the 1st choice at #28-Eric Wood was by far my next choice and I view both of them as two of the best prospects I’ve seen with their kind of versatility and passion for the game.
I don’t think this is too likely. I would be surprised if it’s not Walker-Wood-Hangartner-Levitre-Butler. The front office has been pretty clear about their plans for Wood and Levitre. I don’t see why they’d smokescreen players once they were drafted.
That would be good by nobody seems to be able to answer why Walker will play LT when Chambers played LT at the end of last season
My best guess at the O-line would go ….. Chambers – Wood – Hangartner – Butler – Walker. Also, why break up the Butler and Walker when we know they work well together? If Walker is going to play LT……Walker – Butler – Hangartner – Wood – Chambers.

If you recall, Joe, when Peters was sitting out consciously, prior to last season, the Bills moved Walker to LT for the entirety of training camp.
Only when they’d gone basically a full season with Walker at RT did they put Chambers in at LT – it was an injury replacement, and outside of the extraordinary circumstance that was Peters last year, they didn’t want to disrupt continuity.
Walker is the LT.

You never know who will be free post draft, who would have though Hill would be released by the Seahawks right?
IF Jones gets cut from the Bengals, the Bills will at a minimum do their due diligence and at least kick the tires on him, its the smart thing to do. IF they feel he has something left to give us, I could see the line shaking out like this with him on board:
Jones- Butler- Harngarter- Wood- Walker
If he is not what the Bills want then we go with this:
Walker- Wood- Harngarter- Levitre- Butler
While I would like the Jones line (If he is healthy and takes a decent contract) I think we should get used to lineup number 2.
If the Bills were a drug, I could only hope they were like speed so I could lose some weight as well.
For one year, anyway. Assuming the new guards work out, LT and DT should be the top targets in next year’s draft.
That, and CB.
I don’t think that we’ll need a LT in the draft next year., I think Bell will have fully developped by then. I honestly think that this line is set for the next 5 years at the starting positions, either with our present starters, or with guys that we are curently developping.

HIGH:Y doubt it.
I don’t think Jones is that good of a LT (see Carson Palmer injuries for details), and I don’t think he’d be an upgrade over Walker at LT. I say they’re about even, so why even bother signing him.
I think our OL will look like this:
Walker – Wood – Hangartner – Levitre – Butler
And I’m not any more comfortable with Walker as our LT then you are, but it’s our reality for now.

Plus I think Jones will be the Bengals’ RT this year, that way Palmer will at least be able to see the guys that will shorten his career coming.

Hope they don't move Walker
I know I’m in the minority, but I’d rather keep Walker on the right side. He’s been strong there. I’m not sure he’ll be strong on the left and I don’t want both sides to be weaker.
or Wood wins the position in camp from Hangartner. I like the flexibility of both, but don’t be surprised if Wood is our starting Center come the regular season.
Are we drafting Dino's now?

How good could our Line be?
Could it be a top 10 line next year?

Maybe by the end of the season. I doubt that starting two rookies and Langston Walker at LT looks like a top 10 unit come Monday night in NE. Maybe they run the ball pretty well, but Wood and Levitre are going to need time to adjust. How many rookies at any position step onto the field and play great from day 1?
Run blocking-wise yes....
I think they have a long ways to go protecting Trent though. With Walker being subpar against speed rushers, Butler moving to the outside full-time for the first time in his pro career and a couple of interior rookies who’s biggest weaknesses at this point are in pass protection, the line looks very shaky. By the end of the year it could be very good, but if we’re looking at them now, they need to grow by leaps and bounds between now and the season, IMO.

I’d say it’s the other way around. ANd the chances of us signing Hill are slim.

THey made Hangartner a priority signing.
They went and got him the first weekend of free agency. He will start at center. Nobody can tell me otherwise at this point.
