no...
to think the dolphins chose him over Edwards. He looks scared and lost in the pocket (remember the game at the Ralph 2 years ago). I’d rather stick with Hamdan who has at least had experience in the system. And you don’t pay your backup QB 3 million and then bring in someone else to compete with him.

i like Beck
Not as a QB, but because I felt for the man. He was put into an impossible position and asked to succeed. So many good young QBs never get their chance because coaches screw with their development and put them in before they are ready. I still contend that things could have been different with JP if he was “handled” different by the Bills coaches. Maybe Beck would have too. Unfortunate for him, seems like a class act.

I agree....he was asked to do to much too early
and I am not saying we give him the job as backup QB, but let him compete for it. He was taken in the 2nd round for a reason…. he has the physical tools. I would much rather have him on the roster than Hamdan. Could Beck be the next Drew Brees?

I wouldn’t mind suiting him up for a little competition. Heck maybe he can take a few snaps after Trent’s inevitable injury.

Beck can't be the next Drew Brees.
Brees at least played for San DIego for a bunch of years. He was never that great until his last year. Beck has never been great and has never really had a chance to play. Blame it on Cam Cemron who should bring him in to Baltimore just out of pity.

yeah i agree w/ beck, because i think he does have some talent.. jp on the other hand i think may have been hopeless from the start looking at it now..
i think that one year was a fluke, and he just got lucky on some deep balls that could have went either way, which twisted his numbers a bit..

I honestly think your selling JP short. The guy has some deffinate talent, he just didn’t have the brains to go with it. Plus I don’t think that the type of QB he is was a good match with our offencive scheme.

I don’t know about Fitz, but Hamdan yes.
The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me.

This kid got Losman'ed
and I wouldn’t mind the Bills signing him, but he’d be a project.
