Stay tuned for 4:00PM when the positive test are confirmed. Then 6:00PM when Matthews positive test is denied again
Anyway Kenny, Yellow MegaMan is only $8.95, so maybe your mom can put it on layaway and make payments for a year or two

Stay tuned

as I said
this stuff will happen every week up until the draft…..the sheer amount of toxic internet subterfuge will pollute blogs across cyber space for the next 22 days. My advice, to all, is what NFL executives have to do….TUNE IT OUT.
Use your own two eyes to judge a player, not some pathetic internet rumor, or false acquisitions that some blogger takes for fact from some low life NFL groupie, and goes swirling around the internet. I love the amount of information out there that is available to us, but the .01% of idiots out there ruin it for the rest of us.

Who says it’s an unfounded Internet rumor? Could still end up being true.

You can bet your bottom dollar that NO NFL executives will tune any of this out.
And frankly it would be incredibly dumb for them to. They leave no stones unturned. There’s a rumor out there that you slapped a girl last night at the bar? He heard about it before the girl’s bruise swelled up. Or knew that you were home playing Madden.

the last
thing you want to do is let some internet hack dictate how you do business. Your leadership, your organization, your mantra is what you believe in as an NFL exec. You don’t start freakn out cuz of some internet rumors. You have your scouting department whom you trust, and you interview these guys, acquire as much information as possible. But the last thing you do is let some media storm dictate how you will judge or view a player. That’s all I’m saying. NFL execs have power to more information that we can imagine, so I’m pretty sure reading NFLdraftbible for some stupid story is not high on their list

Who said anything about it dictating how you do business?
Or that they’re freaking out about this? Any NFL executive worth his salt will know of every rumor out there. It’s up to them to find proof that it’s true or false and there are no smoking guns. I guarantee that every front office heard this rumor a few days ago.
by twoeightnine on Apr 3, 2009 3:40 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
yes
but it’s a RUMOR. There is nothing FACTUAL about it. If it was the NFL would have emailed out a LIST of names, banned substances they took, etc! All they had to do was call the league office and say, “is this correct!” They don’t need to go on some secret mission to find the truth. It’s one thing to go find out more info about a guy if he’s believe to be an alcoholic, hangs out with the wrong crowd, etc. Teams do that. They send people on stake-out missions basically following their every move.
But this is the exact type of subterfuge that is completely nonsensical. The NFL has to release these drug tests, not a 3rd party, on NFLdraftbible

Actually, the NFL shouldn't release these drug tests.
They are confidential medical information. It’s fine for the teams to get them, I guess, but for the public to know is not a requirement. NFLDraftBible ethically shouldn’t release personal medical information.

well
there’s zero backing from any credible source, no confirmation, and
Plus, he added that a lawyer for the league office told him that the NFL hasn’t received notification that any players have tested positive for steroids at the combine.
So as of now, it is a complete rumor, speculation, hearsay, supposition, etc.

You know (and yeah, this is a bit of a rant)
It’s one thing to make an accusation and then a denial, and quite another to provide physical evidence on a topic. First Matthews took ’roids, now his “representation” says no way. None of it matters until that document is released.
Lately, it seems any reporter will post something just to get it out there. Perhaps they’re as hungry for NFL news as we are (aside from the paycheck, reporting on it provides). Perhaps they need to fuel that sentiment that bad news is a great read. Whatever it is, the manner in which negativity is rampant in sports reporting these days is beyond my understanding.
You don’t here about the Warrick Dunn’s. You hear about the Travis Henry’s. He who means about as much to the planet as last season’s old navy sweater.

"Lately, it seems any reporter will post something just to get it out there."
Actually, this happens every year at about this time of the year. Gathering information is at the core of player evaluations. As I mentioned above, with the media releasing any bit of information it can scrouge up: stay tuned for the next month when nearly every fan and media member has a knee-jerk reaction every time the direction of the wind changes. Stock rising. Stock falling. Funny thing is, the decision-makers already have 99.9% of the information they need. Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

yeah
I mean it’s like anything. It’s like when you buy a tv or car. You research it for a few weeks, go to buy the one you want, and then you hear from a friend “oh don’t buy that one” or “you should look at this place, I know this guy”
my point is simple. If you’ve done your homework, you need not worry. If you haven’t….yeah you’ll be swayed by every TOm, Dick and Harry putting up a blurb on the internet

Not sure where to post this.....
Tim Graham of ESPN just said that after talking to teams the last week he feels the Bills can now get a First and Third Round pick in exchange for Peters. He’s been saying for weeks that we would never get a first. He also confirmed that Peters will likely not resign with Buffalo

Looks like Geranomo was right about Peters wanting out.
W-S, NC: Tim, if the Bills should trade Peters, which team do you think would be most interested and what’s fair compensation?
SportsNation Tim Graham: (3:37 PM ET ) Philly is mentioned most often because of their need and the fact they have the picks. A first-rounder and a third-rounder could get it done.
John(Buffalo): So basically you see the Buffalo Bills trading LT Jason Peters? Will we get a 1st rd pick for him atleast?
SportsNation Tim Graham: (3:40 PM ET ) I do see Peters bringing back a first-rounder. I wasn’t convinced a few weeks ago, but the more people I speak with about it, the more that seems probable.
Robert (Latrobe, PA): So who will be stepping in for Peters after his probable trade?
SportsNation Tim Graham: (3:44 PM ET ) Excellent question. We’re still trying to find out who’ll be replacing Derrick Dockery. But this situation is evolving into a situation where the Bills have no choice. This isn’t a decision that hinges on who the replacement will be.
char (NJ): if chad johnson was forced to stay in cincy…can’t the bills use that as an example and force peters to stay?
SportsNation Tim Graham: (4:05 PM ET ) I have the strong impression Peters doesn’t care about other examples. He’s doing his thing.
