Sparking interest for a diamond in the rough?
I have been reading more and more about an NFL prospect that hasnt played football since high school. That was the first thing that sparked my interest. The second was that I found out the Bills were interested in this kid. I saw this kid play a couple of baseketball games for Cleveland State but to translate that over to the NFL playing field is what I am very interested in. I found out that their pro day is on Friday April 10th. His name if you didn't know already is J'Nathan Bullock.
If you havent seen it or paid any attention to it on PFT like me, here is a little bit that I found on him. Can't wait to see what this guy does at his Pro Day. Seems to have good size, speed and pretty decent hands (for the round ball that is). I would assume that this could translate well onto the NFL field. We have seen quite a few of these transitions already. (Gonzo, Gates, Peppers and Pollard) to name a few. Is Bullock the next diamond in the rough?

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.

We discussed this briefly a few weeks ago. I really like this kid as an undrafted FA, who if coached up properly could turn out to be a real find.
Gates and Pollard are really the only two that would be comparable. Gonzo and Peppers were both football players that joined their basketball teams.
If Bullock could have a Marcus Pollard like career, that’d be quite an achievement.

Yea, i'm all for giving him a chance as a Undrafted FA
Hey it worked for Jackson.
Are we drafting Dino's now?

Agreed
And if this guy can make a good transition to TE he could be a stud.

I bet this kid doesn't last until UDFA signings.
There’s a history in place now, what with Antonio Gates. One player doesn’t create a rule, but it sure does open peoples’ minds up to the idea that a late-round flyer on him isn’t any more risky than drafting a marginal WR/RB.
And yes, I’m a HUGE fan of this kid – but I have Antonio Gates blinders on.
