The NFL looking out for #1
Interesting article about Masters of Sports Management students final project at NYU and Robert Boland's point of view regarding the NFL. Shows that the league's objectives and concerns are not necessarily aligned with the teams that play in the league.

Great article! This takes a very interesting look at several issues which will define the NFL in the near future and almost all of them have nothing to do with the X’s and O’s on the field. The product on the field will certainly be affected by these issues but they are predominantly issues pertaining to the business side of the game.
I think sometimes we as fans tend to view the NFL in the vacuum of wins and losses on Sundays. I will admit to doing that also because there is something refreshing about putting those distractions aside each week and rooting hard for your team. (GO BILLS!) However, we should not be so naive that we think the NFL is untouchable by these serious issues and think that the league will continue to occupy the #1 spot in American fandom without proactively addressing the myriad of issues that exist now and will assuredly crop up in the future.
I'll donate $1 to help Mary Wilson pay the estate tax...who's with me?!?
