Looking at a number of posts over the last few weeks there seems to be a general feeling amongst the rumblers that Terrell Owens is going to cause trouble off the field.
This has been true at every other club he has played for, but only after a few years when he felt that the teams were moving to the wrong direction to get him to the Superbowl, by not giving him the ball enough.
Only the most crazely optimistic Bills fan thinks we are going to get to the Superbowl this year and there are not many who think TO is going to be here for more than a year so i dont think this is going to be an issue.
What he could well do is help bring the best out of everyone else on the team by showing them that even true superstars work their backsides off in training, in the film room on the pitch etc. and by taking some of the pressure and focus off them, particularly on the field.
In years to come we will look back and see the signing of TO as a turning point. The signing that helped get the Bills back to being competitive, into the play offs and, I think, even further. Not because of his on field performances however good they may be but as a statement of intent from the teams management, showing that they do in fact have ambition and are ready to put their money where their mouth is.
In the medium term signing TO only brings benefits to our team, in the short term he may even catch some passes and help us win games!
