Maybe “the city” is the name of his new apartment building downtown. He got the keys so he can move in after practice. :)

building is the key term. he’s got to have room for all the hangers-on that i’m sure will be in the area.

What has he done to deserve the keys to the city?

yes – its SOMETHING that isn’t snow related or us being number 1 for college students getting degrees and leaving the area. what ever gets b-lo in the news in a positive light is fine for me

getting degrees and leaving the area
That’s better than leaving the area before they even get to college!

But it is not positive
Buffalo is being laughed for this move by most of the national media. What has T.O. done for Buffalo? Has he feed the hungry…..built a habitat for humanity home…..given time and money to Hunter’s Hope, etc? No……All he did is bring his circus to town. That is it! And for that he gets the keys to the city. This move is a joke and makes Buffalo look absolutely idiotic. Did we sign T.O. because we were starved for attention or because we want to win football games?
How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

starved for attention or because we want to win football games?
both probably – you don’t think that Brandon had media attention in mind with this signing?

I think you are 100% correct...with the major motivation being to sell tickets to a pissed off fan base.

He got the key to Dallas, too.
Were people making fun of Dallas? I haven’t heard anything from anybody except Jerry “I hate everything” Sullivan and Schoope and the Bulldog. They are local guys. Nobody else even cares.

Watch ESPN or NFL Network?
The reporters can’t even say it with a straight face. Did T.O. get the keys to the city of Dallas within 24 hrs of getting there? I honestly don’t know. Either way, I think it used to be an honor that has turned into a cheap PR stunt.
Yeah, I know nobody cares. IMO, one of the biggest problems in this country today.

I think we have bigger problems than the key to the city.
Byron Brown knows he’s in an election year. :-)
I watched ESPN last night and didn’t see anything about it.
T.O. got his key to the city when he joined the Cowboys.
Owens, who also received the key to the city of Dallas upon joining the Cowboys three years ago, said scoring 10 touchdowns won’t be a problem. As for making the playoffs, he said that’ll happen with the help of his teammates.

Don't get me wrong....this is not on T.O.
I don ‘t blame him for getting the “keys”. He didn’t say he would hold out if he didn’t get them, right (don’t get any ideas Jason Peters….wait WTF to I care about him anymore). I just think the City of Buffalo should wait until he actually….you know….helps the Bills win a few games. And even then, is he really worthy? I thought that used to be an honor? Now……Hey…..I farted in City Hall once….maybe I should get the keys too.

they did it at the Albright Knox for crying out loud.
They should have at least done it at City Hall or something.
