"Check out the tweet. It was Romo’s fault just as it had been McNabb’s and Garcia’s fault before him. You’re next, Trent. That’s not a prediction, it’s a guarantee."

Mike Celizic guarantees that T.O.will blow up. While I think the odds are good and am taking a wait and see attitude, apparently Celizic has a crystal ball or magic mirror. To bad he doesn't know the Powerball numbers!

he also ripped his o-coordinator, saying that both of those guys didn't want him anymore...

and this is most likely a different situation than it will be in buffalo, TO will most likely leave on his own accord, where as w/ those other teams he was somewhat driven out… if we don’t have a successful season and trent struggles i could see him maybe saying a few things after he’s gone, but that’s only if trent struggles.. i reallyi don’t see TO being here more than one year.. and i really think he has to be on his best behavior because this is really his last chance to sign a significant contract after this year.. sure a team may pick him up if he causes issues, but it won’t be for big money (and i’m sure TO knows this)…

also this dallas thing has really been dragging on, it really sounds like there is some bad blood there.. i don’t rememeber hearing TO talk about any of the other teams he left as much as dallas when he was already on another team.. i really think it’s the media’s way to keep dallas in the TO spotlight and they are just looking for a way to talk about them then talking about the bills.. but what i do like is the fact that he said he is happy to be where he is at.. (which is w/ buffalo, and that’s all that matters to me at this point)

Good points

I think there are three main reasons why T.O. could behave this season:

1. This could be his last chance. If T.O. blows up again, he will prove Romo, et al. correct and nobody is going to want him.

2. Lower expectations – In both the case of the Eagles and Cowboys, T.O. went there expecting to compete for a SB ring. When that didn’t happen, he became frustrated. Not the case here in B-lo. T.O. knows he is play to repair is rep.

3. T.O. needs a hug – After years of getting ripped on by everyone, including me, it is possible that T.O. wants to be loved and has learned his lesson. Could T.O. actually want to be a good teammate?

Exactly. Let TO walk after this year and even if he blasts the Bills on the way out, it won’t matter. Who cares what TO says after he leaves places as long as he doesn’t throw these guys under the bus during the season. And as long he feels wanted here in Buffalo he will be a good teammate.

another thing.. what's wrong w/ him saying that if it's true?! because i think it probably is..

when jerry jones first let him, he said it was after talking to some very important people on this football team, and that it was better for their qb… and who would know what is good for tony romo other than tony romo… and if that’s the case and this doesnt work out.. he might be on his way out.. because he hasn’t exactly won a ton of games for them, and gotten them over the top, he hasn’t one a single playoff game, and has had a ton of talent aroundhim.. he’s a good qb, but he also hasn’t the “big games” very often, and makes mistakes at crictical points in games,, and if he does the same this year it’s going to be hard to keep him around.. now i’m not saying this is a make or break year… but if he doesn’t get them to the playoffs.. then i think next year definately would be..

was T.O. wrong?

sometimes the truth hurts. some players react to criticism, others do not. Trent is not a prima donna so he may actually respond in a positive way when T.O. acts up. just have to wait and see.

Great point!

I’ll agree with you that while what TO says can be hurtfull, he is almost never wrong. Garcia wasn’t performing well that season. McNabb could have legitimatly seemed to be underperforming in TO’s eyes; remember that while McNabb was playing on a broken ankles, TO was playing (and still performing VERY well) on a broken leg. And Romo is a total prima donna that underperformed with a offencive co-ordinator that was almost as bad in play calling as our is. He had legitimate issues and was vocal about them. It’s the being vocal about it that gets him in trouble, not that he’s wrong.

Could he be less vocal about them? yes. But were Garvia’s, McNabb’s and Romo’s feelings too easily hurt? yes. Are all three unable to publicly accept critisism? YES.

Before someone else says it...

I don’t think alluding to Garcia being a homosexual had anything to do with his on-field play.

Plus have you seen how hot Garcia’s wife is? She was Playmate of the Year wasn’t she?

And the way TO destroyed Philly had little to do with McNabb’s feeling’s getting easily hurt. I’m not buying that Trent would have been more able to handle those situations than Garcia, McNabb or Romo.
