Free agent linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa - who visited with the Buffalo Bills in mid-May - signed with the Chicago Bears today.
Tinoisamoa agreed to a 1-year contract and is expected to play on first and second downs for Chicago's defense.
It's too bad he didn't want to become a part of what looks to be an exciting year in Orchard Park. Instead, he'll be overshadowed by Brian Urlacher and Lance Briggs. Of course, if that is the kind of player he is - that he wants to ride on their laurels - well, we don't need him in Buffalo. We need a playmaker... not a sideshow LB.
Buffalo will now hold an open competition for the starting SAM linebacker role between incumbent Keith Ellison, free agent signee Pat Thomas, and possibly rookie Nic Harris.
