Alvin Bowen starts his comeback
For you guys who feel that Bowen can be our starter this year, he just hopes he makes the team.

Ahhh, I’m so sick of this guy already! How many articles are going to be written about a guy who could struggle to make the team?

I would like to see him make it just because he was a draft pick, but I am starting to agree with you.
No night spent pantsless is a wasted night.
I know Kurupt.
I put this article up because so many people are rooting for him to make start over Ellison and Thomas that at least Gaughan says he is fighting for a roster spot.
A man in the desert was so thirsty for water that when he spotted an oasis in the distance he ran towards it. Upon arriving he realized it was a mirage. Thirsting for moisture he drank of the water anyways.
The fans who want Bowen to start aren’t drinking the Kool-Aid. They’re drinking the sand.

Love the metaphore. And I think your entirely correct. Bowen is not the answer at starting LB. In fact I don’t that that a single player that we have is the deffinitive answer and we might actually see 2 or 3 LB’s splitting time as our starting SAM.

Like I stated below… Chris Brown disagrees with Gaughan. I have been very displeased with some of Gaughans articles lately. The one where he talks about how much experience Langston Walker has at LT really put the icing on the cake. He is losing a lot of cred with me.
So Chris Brown is drinking the jungle juice?

Nah.
Only to win comeback player of the year. He is coming back from injury not coming back to the NFL or anything.

I see
so he’s making a comeback to 5th round draft choice that’s competing for a roster spot. Gotcha.
Bowen IS a legitimate threat at strong side linebacker
Look at what Chris Brown had to say today:
I think it’s Ellison’s position to lose. His greatest competition at the spot will be Alvin Bowen and rookie Nic Harris. Ellison is obviously the most experienced in the system and one of the smartest players on the team. That goes a long way with this staff. I think one of the other two candidates will have to show greater playmaking ability and equal smarts to take the spot away from him.
