Bills, Levitre agree to terms
Less than an hour after my brilliant prediction that FS Jairus Byrd would be the next Buffalo Bills rookie to sign a contract, the team as reportedly agreed to terms with OG Andy Levitre. The deal is believed to be for four years, worth roughly $3.6 million, and guarantee about $1.8 million.
The AP reported earlier in the day that the two sides were "close"; Mike Florio is now reporting that the deal is done. The Bills themselves confirmed on Sunday. Levitre should be on the practice field on Monday.
As we mentioned earlier today, DE Aaron Maybin, OG Eric Wood and FS Jairus Byrd remain unsigned.
Levitre is expected to emerge as the starting left guard this pre-season. He'll have to unseat veteran Kirk Chambers, who has taken first-team reps in Levitre's stead and has experience in Buffalo's offensive system. Veteran Seth McKinney could challenge as well, particularly after Eric Wood signs, reports and wins the right guard job. (Trust us - that will happen.)

Good, this was arguably one of the most important signings left as he’ll need as much practice as possible to lock down a starting role. Let’s get the rest of them signed now.

All right, about time.
Put him in with the first team as soon as he arrives.

great news
I was surprised but not disappointed by his selection in the draft and while I won’t pretend to have any valuable analysis of his ability to transition positions on the line I trust the scouts that he can make the switch well. Great news.
Guards Brad Butler and Brandon Rodd are decent. - Pete Prisco
Brandon Rodd!! Our best player.
Good
I hope at least 2 of 3 left sign very early this week. I don’t think FO is doing a great job, but i’m optimistic we could see all rookies signing this week, let’s see.
if maybin is in by the end of the week then it would be about the regular time in a standard season where we weren’t in the HOF game. It sucks but this is the way the business works now. In ten years we will look back and say how archaic it was.
The Bills CAN win any game
Well said
I hope the League can solve this as soon as possible. It’s clear this system is not working, and it’s bad for everyone, rookies, teams, and fans.

Brian, according to Ron Weasley, “That was brilliant!”
Next time you make a prediction, perhaps you should check with Hermione Granger first. She probably knows the answer. :)
(Not that any of us here would do any better, mind you. Keep making those predictions anyway, Brian. It makes things interesting.)
Get the Bills back to the big game!
