Reid on Maclin
“You can’t buy back that time,” Reid said. “He’s going to have to be playing a catch-up game. It’s important that he’s here; that’s the bottom line.”
I like that kind of response from a coach better than, “Well, we wish he was here but he is not. We will coach the players who are here……….” type crap we hear from Jauron.

What do you expect?
Reid is a proven winner, Jauron is not….

LOL. Are you guys serious? Since when did answering media questions win football games?

I think you’re taking the point a little too literally, Brian. Of course answering media questions does not win football games. However, Reid’s approach to answering questions exemplifies his approach to coaching football, just like I think it’s fair to say Jauron’s approach to the media is reminiscent of his approach to coaching. One is more aggressive, one is more cerebral.
Is one approach better than the other? Obviously, everyone is going to have their own opinion. Personally, I think they can both succeed, but so far, only one has proven that they can do so consistently.
