The Buffalo Bills are in Green Bay, Wisconsin, at the famous Lambeau Field, to take on the Green Bay Packers in their third pre-season game of the year. Though the team will be without two of its biggest names in WR Terrell Owens and DE Aaron Maybin, there is still plenty for Bills fans to pay attention to this evening.
This is going to be a good test for the Bills' starters on both sides of the ball. Green Bay features a potent offense with a strong aerial attack and a solid offensive line. Their 3-4 defense, orchestrated by Dom Capers, is aggressive and blitz-happy. The Packers are going to be a very good team in 2009, so this should be a nice measuring stick for the Bills, particularly since the starters will get at least a quarters' worth of work.

I am getting more excited for this season every day
I am looking forward to watch the DE’s and TE’s tonight. I think that is 2 places where we could be suprised with cuts. Ellis and Bryan both need to realize Maybin is signed now, so tonight is a huge night for both of them. By the way, does anyone know when Palmer is coming back? Anyways, GO BILLS!!

That's a surprise.
The Buffalo News was saying he might get cut because he was 6th on the WR depth chart, possibly even behind Jenkins.

Really...
Our 4-3 under Williams/Murlarkey was ranked top 5 two consecutive years.
The 3-4 isn’t some magic cure all. It would take two years of reworking personnel for any switch to a 3-4 to work.
And here’s a hint against the 3-4: run simple dive plays. Watch any game film: Buffalo verses Cleveland or home verses NE are great examples. Power, physical, run-oriented football beats the 3-4. It’s the reason that Mike Shanahan dominated Belichick this decade.

The funny thing is, Buffalo was REALLY good in their second pre-season game last year, too (against PIT in Toronto). Then they tanked the following week, just not anywhere near this bad.

Flex league
Have to start at least one QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1TE, a Kicker and a DST. You then have 4 flex positions, so you can start as many as 5 at one position (except DST). Rosters set at 14 in a 16 team league.
I actually like the format. QBs and TEs are valuable in this league, if you have quality ones, of course.
I won last year with Manning and Cutler, T.Gonzalez and Welker leading the way for me.

Got through about the first half of these posts – ugly game – but it’s PRESEASON….ehemmm….PRESEASON…bills fans should not be “throwing themselves off cliffs.” No T.O., no Maybin….a bad game, but the wheels are not coming off. If preseason counted the Lions would be world champs. RELAX
So does anyone know who is leading the battle for the nickel slot? I personally feel Corner has helped himself more this preseason that both Florence and Yobuty.

lets not cry too much about this. Preseason is for trying new things and alot of teams don’t showcase half of their plays or sets. Teams gameplan for the other teams STARTING players in the regular season not their reserves. From one bills fan to another save your woes for when their more warranted

I really don’t think I can survive another year of dink and dunk. If we are going to lose lets at least have a little fun with it. I give T.O. until about the 3rd quarter of game 2 if we are playing anything like it appears we will be. If the play calling is the same as last year I give him until halftime of the opener, at best.
