Perhaps the Bills Should Have Simply Held the First Team Out of Preseason Play

3

Just wanted to point a few things out from this guy.... The Bills first team offense with Trent Edwards under center has now been on the field for 9 drives and yielded no TDs, four turnovers, and demonstrated little ability to move the ball. In other points of note, the poised Edwards has sustained one sack for every 6 pass attempts. The first team offense has scored 3 points (one FG) otherwise. Lynch is averaging just over 2.0 yards-per-carry on the first team with 14 carries for 29 yards while Jackson is averaging only a marginally better less than 2.5 yards-per-carry on 11 carries for 27 yards with the first unit. Aggregately, the Bills first team rushing game has yielded 25 carries for 56 yards and a 2.2 yard-per-carry average and no scores obviously. Not pretty - but it is the preseason. However, that MNF game in NE is looking like a pretty good tale of the tape when it's all said and done. Here's hoping we come out firing on all cylinders.
