Remember when people were clamoring for the Bills to pick Devin Thomas with the first pick last year? Wow, maybe James Hardy in the 2nd round is not so bad of a pick after all. At least Mr. Hardy can say that he has been injured for most of the time, unlike Mr. Thomas.

Thats funny...

I was just looking over an old mock today and saw Thomas and thought geez maybe Hardy wasn’t so bad after all. You don’t hear anything about this first rounder who has done absolutely nothing.

And what has Hardy done again??????

He showed some potential

He caught a couple touchdowns and did about what you would expect a developmental player to do. Thomas did absolutely nothing and was projected higher

He was a 2nd I think actually

But it was projected that the Bills could have taken Thomas at 11 in 08….one other thing to note is that with Hardy’s rehab and almost certain injuries, he still has a chance to make an impact come the second half of the season

not bad

yea i was ok with the mckelvin pick i actually wanted rodgers-cromartie just because all things being equal r-c is taller and would match up well with the randy moss’ of the world. maybe in the tampa 2 mckelvin is a better fit he’s obviously a better st player.

I would have liked RDC too, but I think that McKelvin won out because of his return skills. But if last season was any indication of things to come, RDC will end up being the better CB in the long run.

I didn’t pay attention to DRC beyond the Bills game against the Cardinals, but something tells me that had the Bills made the superbowl and the Cardinals ended up 7-9, that everyone would be thinking McKelvin was the better player.

Well DRC had like 6 INT’s last year (4 regular season, 2 playoffs) and a pick 6. So it’s safe to say that DRC had a better rookie season, but in the long run? Only time will tell.

He also started more games, had the benefit of an explosive offense and actually got to the playoffs. I guess my point is that had situations been reversed, Leo would look just as good without being a different player than he is.

DRC was a solid corner.

I watched him for a few games on live tv and he already looks like a veteran corner. He breaks up a ton of passes, rarely gets beat, and can make that big play. Mckelvin will take a little longer to develop, he can make a big play once in a while but there are many times he gets beat by a wideout.

DRC had a very good rookie year, and proved to be a better playmaker than Leo at that point in their development. He looked pretty good throughout much of last year, but like Leo, still has a lot to learn.

Don’t forget DRC’s Super Bowl meltdown though….
