After three consecutive less-than-exciting pre-season performances, the starting units for the Buffalo Bills will get at least a full half of action tonight when they take the field in Pittsburgh. A strong showing would go a long way towards raising confidence heading into the ultra-important 2009 season. A fourth straight poor performance would bring pre-season sketpticism to an all-time high in Western New York.
Not in action for the Bills tonight: WR Terrell Owens, WR Felton Huggins, TE Derek Fine, TE Travis McCall, OT Demetrius Bell, DE Aaron Schobel, LB Pat Thomas, CB Drayton Florence and CB Lydell Sargeant.

The difference being.........
when you’re put in a stressful situation you’re gonna go back to all the training you had during that previous week……..during practice. The offense doesnt come into each game with the same gameplan every week…..(of course, with this coaching staff……maybe they do, who knows)
and if that training was against something different then what he’s seeing now….thats where the confusion lies.
Obviously Trent is struggling here…….either he’s not getting himself prepared or the coaching is doing a piss poor job of getting him prepared……..Based on experience with the “last” starting QB……the coaching seems to be the trend here. Not the QB

I have always liked Trent
but it seems like he is just totally panicking out there. I can’t recall seeing another QB have so many passes disrupted before getting them off.
And then the little quick toss to Reed showed exactly why. Holding the ball 1.5 seconds too long.

The Seahawks offense in general should be interesting. Guys like Housh, Burleson, Brach, Edge James could all be great values, or could all bust if Seattle doesn’t bounce back

I don’t see very many positives you can take from this. We are supposed to be getting better. So, even if we played in a craptastically identical way, we took a step backward.

On a bright note, that Herm Edwards Coors Light commercial is great.
No weekend spent pantsless is a wasted weekend.
I look at this season as a win-win. If we surprise and win some games, y’all will be happy. If we don’t, y’all will finally, mercifully, have fresh blood to mercilessly tear to shreds in the form of a new coaching staff and quarterback. Happy feasting.

Nothing like another losing season with a lame duck coach. We could be in year 1 of someone else with fresh blood and hope. Instead we have to wait for further dereailment. Sounds like a win-win to me!!
