Jaws is a bandwagon jumper

heard this yesterday on the radio and thought that was pretty typical of Jaws. He sucks up to the big market teams and star players so he can be a well liked media guy. He has no loyalty to Buffalo unless they are playing well (which hasn’t been for awhile as we all know) so he just trashes on them.

Rah, rah rah… Jaws Go listen to yourself some more.

Heres another link.

Herm Edwards selects the all-AFC East team, with 4 bills on it……..one of them is Ryan Denney lol.

Thanks. Kurupt posted it as a fanshot so I didn’t include it.

Mark Gaughan -- WTF?

Did anyone understand what he said about not practising enough against the 3-4?

The Bills have practised enough against it, it wouldn’t make sense to practise any more against it . . . the only problem they have with it is that they can’t match up against defences that run it and Edwards doesn’t pass well against it because he’s been “unsure of what he was seeing” when he’s played against it and our pass protection doesn’t work against it.

So . . . why bother practising against it?

Huh? Am I missing something?

He says they run plays against it every day in the walkthrough and scout portions of practice. He is essentially saying they shouldn’t have the starting D move to a 3-4 and simulate it live with those guys since they need to know about the 4-3.

Which makes sense from the point of view of the starting D, not wanting them to practise a defense they’re not going to run, but how does it help the offense? And I think they’re the ones that need more help.

Just seems like a weird argument he makes: The problem isn’t that they need more practise against it, the real problem is that they’re confused by it and just don’t know how to play against it.

He essentially says that the walk through for ten minutes should be enough.

I hope he’s reading the situation right. I still believe this offense can be good this year if all the pieces fall into place.

Regarding Jaw's Comments

He nailed a large part of it. Our struggles on offense. Hamden is the only QB that attempted to communicate formations and blitzes, and hot reads. At least from a physical stand point. The others may have been verbally instructing we will never no, cause we can’t hear them. The no-huddle in large part is about communication, hand signals to the receivers, points to the blitzers, instruction to the TE and RB’s. Trent and Fitzy lacked here. Or they were attempting to do it in different ways.

If I can’t read the coverage, I can’t signal the receivers, if I can’t identify the blitzer, I can’t point them out. If I can’t read the the hot routes, I can’t allign my protection. This is a dead on assesment by Jaws. His concern is justified until we show different.

Good post, rec'd

It is not Jaw’s job to be a Bills homer. He gave a valid opinion based on what he has seen so far. Hard to argue objectively with what he said. I hope Edwards can prove him wrong.
